Aight then, mate. Not in the mood to get in a pissing competition with you every time we happen to be in the same forum.

Just repeating what I've heard first hand from a reputable employee of the store who's been there as long as I can remember. So no matter how "random" the person may sound to you - I'm pretty sure they'd know a thing or two how these things work.

But you know, whatever.

There is no pissing conversation happening here, if you think so then the issue lies with you. You seem to want everyone to think that you are well informed about things, and it's almost like you feel threaten by someone that is more informed than you. My track record with regards to the info that I am told by the JB staff that I speak to and share here, speaks for itself, yours not so much.

Just think about it logically for a minute. As I stated, JB stores do have their stock of this title, if JB were actually breaking embargo and didn't have permission from the distributor to sell it on Monday, what difference would it make if they sold it on Friday, Saturday or Sunday?

In all honest, I'm kind of over seeing the word embargo from you, it was hardly something that was ever mentioned before you made an appearance in this sub-forum, why? Because it's extremely rare that titles are held back until their official release date in this country. Every time you have brought it up, the title was able to be purchased days before the official release date. Embargo is essentially an irrelevant topic for the Australian membership. I don't give stuff about embargo, I can't remember a time that it has affected me from picking up a local new release Blu-ray title before the official release date, at least since I've been a member here.

Don't feel threatened at all, mate. This is a forum full of people who are incredibly well informed, with all kinds of knowledge. If anyone's threatened it's you... You've been incredibly hostile, confrontational and rude to myself and others on these boards when you don't agree with something.
Yep, I newer to these boards than you are. It must hurt that someone else with some expertise wanders in and starts conversing with others.

I've not mentioned once that I doubt this title will be on shelves tomorrow morning. I simply quoted an employee who specifically mentioned the word "embargo". Odd that it's a new word for you, just about every press release I recieve from Disney, or preview screening I attend, the word is mentioned at least once. Seemingly, it's not something that's incredibly well inforced - which simply led to my question as to why we're so slack in enforcing it, which you have certainly answered in your round-about way.

Anyway. I'm off to sleep to dream about tomorrow morning when I can go pick up my disc. If you're grabbing one tomorrow yourself - enjoy!

How was I incredibly hostile, rude or confrontational, Dave? I merely stated that this title will be available to purchase at JB on Monday morning, nothing hostile, rude or confrontational there. I then responded to your post where you accused JB HiFi of often breaking embargo, and simply informed you that this is inaccurate, again, nothing hostile, rude or confrontational there. Then I simply pointed out that I don't speak to just anybody at JB to obtain information, nothing hostile, rude or confrontational there either. You then threw out your pissing competition post, and the tone of this suggested that you had taken exception to something. If anyone was being hostile, rude or confrontational, it was you.

Since your brought up expertise, yours are yet to be seen mate. Your comment about the U.K. and U.S. versions of Aladdin being from different masters, and your comment about American Gigolo being a nice transfer, doesn't help . I provided more information about when Civil War would be available in my one sentence than you did in two pages of posts, all we got from you as was speculation, "it might be out Monday, it might not". Anyway... I'm not interested in arguing with you, Dave, all I care about is helping out where I can (particularly in the local sub-forum) and making sure the info I provide is accurate. Sure, sometimes I don't agree with members and they don't agree with me, however, disagreements come and go, afterwards usually we all kiss and make up and move on from it. There is only one member that I hold a grudge against, because I feel he was rude to my missus, who is a member here. I don't have any particular problem with you, or you "conversing with others".

I would like steelbook pics to calm my impatience. And a shot of the Team Cap one if you can, davlee (or anyone)?

Pity the 3D isn't a steelbook.
But I say that every time.

The Avengers was the last MCU steelbook that had the 3D disc in, but it didn't have the Whedon commentary and that's why I passed on it. Although now I wish I bought it because it looks noice. And I definitely wish I bought the First Avenger one as well.

I'm so excited the Team packaging is shiny! I love me some shiny things. Thanks.

Now I shall sit and wait for the next 44 hours until I can get mine (not that I'm counting).

About 20-30ish copies of the steel and TONS of every other version spread all around the store.

The steelbook is amazing as well. I'm so torn on that since I have it preordered at Zavvi but I'll definitely be getting a one-click Novemedia for this, and they'll all have that steelbook inside them. I was on the verge of being a semi-responsible adult and cancelling it but now I'm not so sure...

Doesn't bother me too much, the steels are usually a double-dip for me that I display separately from the main collection. But I can certainly understand how it's annoying for those who'll only purchase the one edition.

That Steelbook does look rather nice. Imagine if that crack down the center of the shield was embossed though... damn that would be sweet.

Pitty on the 1 disc status though.. Disney really hates putting any substantial effort into special features
