Will this have the Beach Boys segment that has been cut out of TAMI in the past? I would guess so since it was on the DVD.

I thought I had read that it was closer to 1000 lines of resolution but don't remember for sure.

-edit- the Wikipedia page says that several different video cameras were used, ranging from 819 line French SECAM cameras to RCA TK-60 models with up to 1400 lines. So not sure what was used for this but definitely higher res than SD.

Something else that I think I remember but don't have the source ... the Beach Boys performance was cut out after the first release of the film because of a perceived legal issue, but when Dick Clark's company was getting the movie ready for DVD release they found out that there had never been a problem after all, it was a misunderstanding of some sort. So I would expect the BD to have the scene.

From the Shout Factory product page:

The energy and excitement of some of music's greatest grooves!

The unmistakable sounds of a generation explode onto the screen with two of the greatest concert films of the rock n' roll revolution: T.A.M.I. Show and The Big T.N.T. Show.

Filmed just eight months after The Beatles appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show, 1964's T.A.M.I. Show introduced rock 'n' soul youth culture to America as never before. It's 1966 follow-up, The Big T.N.T. Show, built on its predecessor's legacy as a showcase for the hottest hit-makers in music. Collectively, the two films are an incredible time capsule of American popular culture in the 1960s, and representative of the gold standard for concert films.

This Collector's Edition is a double-barreled blast of the sights and the sounds of music's greatest eras, and features performances by future Rock and Roll Hall of Famers The Rolling Stones, James Brown, Chuck Berry, The Beach Boys, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson And The Miracles, Bo Diddley, The Supremes, Ike and Tina Turner, The Ronettes, The Byrds, Ray Charles, and many other American and British Invasion hitmakers in their prime!
Although at the time of this post, the extras have not been determined, but expect the extras from the DVD release of The T.A.M.I. Show to be included, which were:

Commentary By Director Steve Binder
Original Trailer With Optional "Trailers From Hell" Commentary By John Landis
Original T.A.M.I. Show Radio Spots

All of THE T.A.M.I. SHOW (1964) DVD Extras (Plus an additional commentary track!) have been carried over to the Blu-ray; plus THE BIG T.N.T. SHOW (1966) has a few additional Extras!:

And yes, The Beach Boys segment IS included on the Blu-ray, so there's NO nasty surprises there!

What's more? There's even a 36 page booklet included, the type of Bonus that's almost unheard of outside of Box Sets and Digibooks, these days!

I'm definitely ALL IN for this disc, at some point!

CHEERS!
