As for the Hard Target question above, it's the same US cut as before. |

I love The Tick (the cartoon and previous live action series) but the new pilot left me rather underwhelmed, I will give the series a watch though, didn't watch the other one so can't comment |

Yeah, the US cut has a happier ending. I actually prefer the ending on the UK release. It's probably the same one that's on the German one. I would pick it up on blu just for his performance. If the supporting cast was better, this could have been a great movie. Everyone else SUCKED though, even Steven Rea.

Trying to finish up my collection... need some advise about the following flicks:
Black Eagle: - The German release is code free and contains both the theatrical cut as well as the DC but seems to have heavy DNR applied. - The UK version seems to have the same PQ and only contains the theatrical cut. Is this correct? Is the German release the best release worldwide? Cyborg: - The German release has the DC with the additional scenes in a very bad quality. - The Austrian release contains both cuts? - The US release only contains the theatrical cut (in the best possible PQ)? Which one to get? Kickboxer: - The German rlease is region locked and has the overall best PQ - The US, UK, Italian and Australian releases all have a worse PQ Correct? Lionheart: - The US release is only part of the "5-movie box" and only contains the shorter US theatrical cut - The German release contains the longer International Cut but has a bad PQ - There also seem to be an UK and an Austrian release? Any impressions on those? Thanks!!! |

Did you guys know that Van Damme had his very first movie appearance in "Woman Between Wolf and Dog" from 1979?
He has no dialog and appears only for a few seconds in an uncredited role. You can check his scenes out here: https://bttcinema.com/2015/11/18/the...a-woman-betwe/ Immediately had to order the DVD to complete my Van Damme collection lol ![]() |

Favorite Van Damme flicks for me:
1. Universal Soldier (just straight up awesome) 2. Cyborg 3. Double Impact 4. Death Warrant 5. Nowhere to Run (mmmm....Rosanna Arquette nude in hi def) 6. Sudden Death (would have been even better without the incredibly annoying daughter) 7. Kickboxer |

Yeah The Quest was awful. I'm actually traumatized from that movie because I chose to see that in the theater over the Richard Gere movie Primal Fear which became one of my favorite thrillers of all time.

I admit that I haven't watched The Quest since it hit PPV, but it just never got entertaining and so I never went back to it. I just bought the Van Damme 5 film pack and so I might give it another shot.

All I remember about The Quest is that it's a fancied-up remake of Bloodsport.
I noticed the Kickboxer remake (with JCVD as the trainer and Batista in the Tong Po role) is on Netflix now. |

Replicant is the best of Van Damme's DTV flicks (but that's probably because it was intended for theatrical release). It needs a new master, but, hey, Lionsgate.
The Quest is a pleasantly old-fashioned romp and well shot, too, so it's odd that the biggest issue the film has is that the fights are too short (really not sure what Van Damme was thinking). |
