Default New Insignia BD Player

Best Buy is now listing a new model Insignia BD player. Its not clear if this new one is made by Funai, like their first generation Insignia player, or not. The list price for the new model is $249 and it uses the Broadcom BCM7440P chip instead of the Panasonic Uniphier chipset that is used in the current Funai manufactured BD players. The new model has an ethernet port on the rear but it's marked for future use (it appears this new player is firmware upgradable to Profile 2.0. Here is the link: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1217029959586

Some people over on the AVS Forum have speculated that its a rebadged Samsung 1500 but the internal circuit boards are not the same as those in the Samsung, even though it uses the same Broadcom chip, I doubt that its being made by Samsung and may be the next generation of Fuani made BD players. We will have to see it similar new models soon appear under the Magnavox and/or Sylvania brands (since those brand names are owned by Funai).
