If you can hold out until around black friday, you can likely use one of the higher discount coupons to get it cheap from Barnes and Noble. I think I paid around $17 for my copy when they had a 40% coupon out a few weeks ago.

Thanks for heads up... didn't even think about that. Is it a book they usually keep in stock in the store?

Add Basic Instinct to that list as well.

I am a big fan of movie poster art and limited edition art prints based on films. Ordered this one today to add to my growing collection of movie art prints. This is by the talented artist Jonathan Burton. My favorite Hitchcock film and one of my top five film noirs.

This is the variant. There is also a regular version; it was tough choosing which one to get, but I decided I like the variant better.

Regular Version

For those who are interested, these can be ordered here.

I wish the artists creating movie themed posters did more prints based on film noir. Burton is one of the best and has done a few. He mostly focuses on classic films. I picked up his stunning Dracula (Bela Lugosi) print earlier this year.

My thanks also. I just received this in the mail and the artwork is stunning. Along with my copies of So Deadly, So Perverse volumns 1&2 I now have some great reading material for my two favorite genres!

I got my copy of Arrow's release of The Blue Dahlia a few days ago. Here's a pic of the alternate cover for anyone interested:

Got through both of these discs this weekend -

They immediately became two of my favorite releases of the year; two 5 star packages and must haves for most of us in this thread! I forgot how much of a ride The Glass Key is, and while both of these films are full of perfect character actors and great lines, Brian Donlevy as Paul Madvig is just perfection.

Thanks

I know this site say Region A is untested, any chance you (or anyone else) have the ability to test that?

It is a title I'd certainly like to import, but I'm Region A locked with my players.

I believe it was mentioned awhile back that both The Glass Key and The Blue Dahlia will be released by Twilight Time in 2017.

Where did you read that? Never heard of any deal between TT and Universal.

I was just thinking the same thing. If the release does happen I almost wonder if we will get some commentaries from Nick Redman, Julie Kirgo and possibly Lem Dobbs! and maybe others.

Are you sure you're not thinking of Fallen Angel and Whirlpool? Those two films along with Where the Sidewalk Ends were released in an Otto Preminger Film Noir Collection in the UK, with TT having the NA rights.

Apologies. I could have sworn someone posted a screencap from TT's Facebook newspage awhile back. I spent the last hour looking for that.

I wish it were true, but I don't think these have been announced for a US release by anyone. I'm hoping they'll be out sooner rather than later, but if no one releases them stateside, I'll just import.
