We're in luck. Arrow IS releasing CHUD just two weeks ahead of Lionsgate's CHUD II.

Yeah, this movie wasn't very good at all. I might skip it and hope for a big discount someday. It's good for an afternoon bit of television muzak, though. Just throw it up on the screen and let it play while you do some chores or whatever. It's terrible and silly as hell. It always kind of felt like a precursor to Encino Man in a weird way, though haha. I laugh a good bit when I watch it, but it's really a pretty bad movie and it's more funny because it's bad than funny on purpose, which is pretty awful for a movie that is SUPPOSED to be trying to be funny haha!

All the other Vestron movies are day 1 buys for me, but this one is a tough sell for me at anything more than like 10 bucks. Which means I'll buy it as soon as I see it for 15, probably. Particularly if they give it any sort of interesting bonus features at all. Then I'll pick it up.

I remember enjoying this when I watched it on VHS way back. I think I was high. I'll most likely pick it up.

Imagine if they went all-out, though, and interviewed the whole crazy cast, like Robert Vaughn, Rich Hall, June Lockhart, Rich Shydner... maybe even Robert Englund? That would be such a blast, I'd buy it even if the actual CHUD 2 movie wasn't included on the disc!

I actually love this movie but I understand some of the hate for it. It's similar to Return of the Living Dead Part II. It takes a unique and comedic approach to the material.

I've never seen the first film but can easy state that it's superior to this sequel in every way. Set your expectations as low as possible going in. (With that said I've got my copy pre-ordered so what do I know.)

I ordered CHUD II anyway even though I've never seen it before, I'm hoping it's one of those "so bad it's good" type of movies. Someone mentioned that they just borrowed the name CHUD and it has nothing to do with the first movie.

I haven't seen it either. I'll watch trailers and some vid reviews before deciding, like I did with Blood Diner. In the end though I pretty much like anything 80's genre that isn't total excrement. I did hate Night of the Demons though.

Rumor has it that CHUD II's script was originally meant for Return Of The Living Dead III. After seeing CHUD II, that makes sense.

I saw this when it originally aired on HBO in the 80's. I was very disappointed, as they went for comedy, instead of Horror, like the first. I stopped watching it after about 45 minutes. I remember not thinking it was even funny, and it tried, really, really hard. Very poor follow-up to a classic genre flick...
