I don't think it did. I got a message from eBay saying the package was mailed out.

For this particular job that I'm doing, My Machine has to be close to a high wall of rock. I'm too close to it to get a signal for my satellite radio, so won't be able to listen to the Jays/Indians game tomorrow.

The fact that I feel more effeminate lately, probably because most of the people I interact with are women. If it weren't for going to the gym 5 times a week, I'd probably feel even more girlie.

LOL yeah I know, just the way I feel since almost all of the people I work with (which also means most of my current friends) are women. Need more dudes in my life, hopefully I make lots of new friends when classes start!

Wondering what time the 49ers play today. Suppose I'll have to Google it. Also wondering if photobucket has a contact number. Found a lot of info on their site but no real way to contact them. Guess I'll Google that too

Someone flipped out in the movie forum trying to defend the honor (???) of an actor who's been appearing in a lot of direct-to-video movies in the last several years by boasting about the lip service, contractually-obligated minimal theatrical releases said movies have gotten. I have no idea if he's joking or being serious.

What actor are they talking about? Is it Nic Cage?

It's John Cusack. This was the post:

Quote:
sorry guy but all of those films had theatrical releases....perhaps you were just too late to the party...that tends to happen when a movie only plays for one weekend, or is released just in Japan ...however these were not at all DTV.

I suggest you do the research before posting so as to not taint anymore actors names as you have just dont so of John Cusack. Hallowed by thy name.

LOL.
I like Cusack, but he was barely in anything and only had a cameo in
[Show spoiler]Hot Tub Time Machine 2
I know it was because he was filming something else, but man, that movie really suffered without him!

John Cusack is a bit of a nutter if his Twitter is anything to go by. But I love him regardless as he seems cool, just that the drugs he's done for decades have caught up with him so he's like part pirate now.

wondering what the hell is wrong with me.

twice i've applied for a higher position at work. and twice i've been turned down.

i have way more management experience than anyone else applying (a couple who have none, by the way) for the same position. yet here i am, still working for not a lot of pay and struggling to get by.

sure am glad i spent all that money on those 2 degrees and put in all that time in those other places working 60+ hours a week.

I have found in life the perks, raises and promotions tend to go to the people who are friends with the right people. Being more experienced or more qualified is not always enough.

I had no idea that he was on drugs.
That's too bad, he was awesome for a lil while.
Say Anything, The Grifters and Grosse Pointe Blank were great movies!

I see that all the time. Sometimes the good BSers can do the job, other times it's a fiery and spectacular crash!

What's on my mind is some stuff happening here at work that is bothering me.
One huge thing involves the safety of others. My supervisor doesn't want me saying anything and won't address it when I do anyway. After the 2nd attempt at trying to get some attention, I wrote it on a Hazard ID Card. Some engineers came by today and looked, but didn't say anything to me.
They all can bury their heads in the sand if that's what they choose to do, but when shit goes sideways, heads are gonna roll.

Reminds me of that Dos Equis commercial.
"He strongly abides by the motto, safety third. He is the most interesting man in the world."

The new guy is aight but the previous actor was perfect for that part. I think insurance commercials are consistently funny. JK Simmons and Farmers I think, Flo, Geico, Mayhem...

wishing i could work from home, as do so many others with whom i work.

the computers we have where i work aren't the best out there. they're slow and a good bit of the time can't handle the load that is put on them. just about everyone i know that i work with has complained about this, yet nothing has been done.

so i'd love to work from. my productivity would significantly increase.

working from home has been brought up before, but we were told that they want to make it fun to come into work rather than have people work from home.

that was well over a year ago and just about anyone i work with is still waiting on the fun to begin.....

I love when someone tells you to "get a life" but they're watching 3-4 movies a day for movie challenges. Maybe you should get a life. I do have one. I work 8 hours a day and make the most of my days off by hanging out with friends and family, something you probably never do. I don't have time to stay home and watch movies all day. That would be nice, but doesn't bring in the income.
