I think the director has to be Italian for the film to also count as Italian though I now learn Ovidio G. Assonitis was born in Egypt so maybe "Tentacles" doesn't count.

Different strokes, I guess. Dolls is a pretty entertaining b-movie imo, one of the best from Charles band who put out some true stinkers in his day (especially after 1995). Pretty good kill scenes, frantic pace, and that opening with the Teddy bear is pretty creepy.

I take it you are not a Stuart Gordon fan? I love Dolls, it's not Stuarts best but it falls right in the middle tier of his filmography for me. A great B-movie flick that rises above most of Band produced product of the 80's & 90's.

I've been my seen dolls once right when the scream bluray was released. I wasn't that impressed but it didn't wind up at in my sell pile. Maybe it's time to give it another chance.

Can someone confirm Poltergeist 2 and 3 CE's release date? Both deepdiscount and bullmoose list the date as 12/13/16 and not the 1/24/17 date.

I know. But I'm a pretty big Stuart Gordon fan, and I've yet to see anything by Charles Band I didn't like - though there are quite a few of his films I've yet to see.

What I really liked about Dolls was how
[Show spoiler]the doll faces break away and under the dolls exterior are little gremlin type things
- I thought that was pretty cool

Also, the stop motion effects are awesome and look far better than what you would get nowadays like with the awful gingerbread men in Krampus, for example.

Someone on Facebook asked Scream if their forthcoming Halloween announcements will be comprised of February titles only. They responded:

Has Scream ever allied with Disney (I'm guessing not)? The Midnight Hour is a terrific Halloween movie and the Anchor Bay DVD has been OOP for well over a decade. This is easily my most requested title yet every season I'm left disappointed.

I think this would be an ideal Scream pickup if they could manage it; can't see anybody else going for it.
