I'd rather see any of Naschy's horror flicks over another lame double dip...

Depends how they do it. Last year, on the day before Halloween, they announced titles at 15-minute intervals (4 'announcements' in all, but one of those included Species II, III and IV). I think they'll do something like this again if there are indeed more than 4, in which case they might start within the next hour or two.

Of course, it's also possible they reveal them all at once but I doubt it.

Would they consider Teen Wolf, I don't know. I guess if they did it would probably be in conjunction with a separate release of Teen Wolf Too.
Don't forget Species.

Wow they've just announced loads of stuff!

- TALES FROM THE HOOD (1995) – The often-requested anthology film (Executive Producer by Spike Lee!) will finally make its Blu-ray format debut.

- DEADTIME STORIES (1986) – Another fun and highly-requested anthology movie that many remember from the 80s which features Scott Valentine, Melissa Leo and a title sequence song that you’ll never get out of your head!

- FIRESTARTER (1984) – Stephen King’s fiery psychic tale is planned for the Collector’s Edition treatment and will receive an all-new 2K film transfer!

- DEMENTED (1980) – Many remember this obscure exploitation revenge outing because it was originally on the early Home Media VHS label (once the home for Halloween, A Nightmare on Elm Street and other classics) and its cover art was in video stores everywhere. Stars Harry Reems (of Deep Throat fame)

- WHAT’S THE MATTER WITH HELEN? (1971) – Debbie Reynolds and Shelly Winters star in this offbeat and melodramatic thriller that has its fair share of fans. Also stars Dennis Weaver and Agnes Moorehead in supporting roles.

- THE SCREAMING SKULL (1958) – We head back into the 50s bring you this enjoyable spooky gem about newlyweds that scared plenty back in its day.

- PSYCHO (1998) – Gus Van Sant’s ambitious and highly-publicized (at the time) remake of Hitchcock’s classic makes its debut on the Blu-ray format.

- THE VAGRANT (1992) – Bill Paxton and Michael Ironside star in this interesting and unique comedic horror film executive-produced by Mel Brooks!

- THE ANGRY RED PLANET (1959) – A trip to mars turns into terror in this campy sci-fi thriller classic.

- VIRUS (1999) – Speaking of Sci-fi thrillers, we have another one to add…but this one stars legendary Scream Queen Jamie Lee Curtis! Also features William Baldwin and Donald Sutherland and has been long due for reevaluation.

There you have it! Please note that we have very little specific details about them at this time other than what we have provided above. As always, we’ll provide more information down the road when we can.

Again, Happy Halloween to everyone and enjoy the rest of the best holiday of the year!

A bunch of titles I've never seen, and a bunch I own on DVD but would gladly upgrade.
Came close last week to buying the Firestarter bluray. Phew.

Pass on Virus and Psycho for sure.

I think I'll probably pick up Helen and Vagrant so I can dump that DVD set.

The other six, yes. Though I'm hoping some of these become double features. It'll make some of them easier to go down. Like Helen/Vagrant. Red Planet with something else.

I hope Scream can get some new interviews regarding Psycho (1998). Would love to hear everyone's thoughts on that project 20 years later. Excited to have that collection complete.

Definitely in for The Vagrant (ecstatic about that one), Tales from the Hood, Firestarter, Deadtime Stories, Virus and What's the Matter with Helen, probably The Screaming Skull and Angry Red Planet also. Some very nice surprises there, and fingers crossed the poll candidates (wasn't there supposed to be 5 winners?) won't be site exclusives (I don't think they will be).

Trying to determine who Scream licenced Deadtime Stories from with little real luck. Might be a one title only deal.

Just in case anyone was still under the belief that Tales from the Hood was with Warner Brothers / HBO:

Is Firestarter the only one confirmed of these getting a Collector's Edition? Or does anyone think Scream will announce a few others as Collector's?

Those are some really good announcements.

I'm in for Virus, Psycho '98 (so I can have it alongside the other entries of the series), Tales from the Hood (about time a good home video release happens for it), Demented and Firestarter.

The others sound interesting too.

I like how SF includes at least one obscure out-of-left-field title among their big-name announcements; in this case it's the 1980 film DEMENTED. Never seen it but have heard good things about it.

It's probably the same licensor as Ginger Snaps, Dog Soldiers and Southern Comfort. I believe that would be either Millennium Films or the remnants of Alchemy (fka Millennium Entertainment). I think it would be the latter, but I'm not entirely sure how that split broke down.
