It's not especially out of line with many other 3 movies bundles.

That's the price of the Gregory / Wallace set, Wim Wenders, the Apu trilogy, the Del Toro trilogy and the Rossellini / Bergman one ($99.95 MSRP).

Some of them are cheaper : Pasolini Trilogy of Life, Three Colors, the Whit Stillman bundle and the Qatsi Trilogy are $79.95, and the Samurai Trilogy is the cheapest I'm aware of ($69.95).

Well, after shipping, import fees and conversion this comes to $70 CAD for me. You'll laugh but that's still a good deal for a Canadian. Will be more or less the same with the B&N sale. And sure as hell beats any price it'll be from Canadian retailers.

I've never had a pre-order get cancelled unless the disc was cancelled. I wouldn't worry about it.

What I think is happening is that Amazon is making pre-order listings going off the standard MSRP for Criterion, which is $39.99. However, they do that for all Criterions, even sets. Like Lone Wolf and Cub, The Before Trilogy has a $99.99 MSRP and Amazon jumped the gun.

Don't hesitate. Lock in this preorder. It will ship to you at that price.

Yeah, just noticed the pre-order has changed to $100; hoping my pre-order that went in at $40 holds.

Any posters out there who ordered Lone Wolf at $40- did Amazon honor it? I seem to recall posters who had their orders cancelled when Amazon realized their mistake.
