IMO, the main benefit for the PS3 getting hacked would be native MKV support and the plethora of emulators that would be made for it. Imagine MAME with the power of the cell for emulation. Would be a treat. Pirating wise, there are so few exclusive PS3 games worth the effort, most people dont care. Which is why it remains unhacked.

There are plenty of games that are worth hacking a PS3, don't kid yourself.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with needing a BD burner and blank media costing $20 a pop.
