Does it work if you do a new save file? If thats the case, just buck up and delete your save file and make a new one. You'll still keep your trophys, but have to redo everything. I know its frustrating, but a similar thing happened to me when all my Saved Game files got corrupted as I got a 'Trophy Error'. I had to delete all my saved games and start completely over. Fortunately it didn't affect any of my trophys as they synch up to the PSN network.

Lesson is that at the end of the day is that they are only video games and its not like you have to do major surgery on your machine. Also keep in mind that you are suppose to be having fun when playing therefore don't consider it work to have to create a new game, but another opportunity to acheive more than you did the first time. Also be sure to backup all your saved games atleast once a month.

Keep in mind that this is coming from a guy that has been having too many issues with his PS3 right now to count, but keeping a positive outlook and doing his best to resolve his issue and not place the blame of the issues on someone else, but just trying to focus on how to fix it and move on. Sure you can write all the letters you want, but the issues you and I are having are effecting a very little percentage and there are fixes for them.

So just fix your issue and move on even if that means you have to start over with a new game.

I'm sure I didn't quit while auto-saving as well.

Would be nice if they had some way to have multiple save files like most other games.

I've deleted the seemingly corrupt profile and started from scratch and it's working again.

Is it only when you are creating a game world that it corrupts?

Can you save the level you are making to another save "slot", so you don't lose your single player progress?
I've created levels (with no room left to add anymore items) and published them and had people play and "heart" my levels. I'd think if it had something to do with "creating" that I would have had the glitch by now.

I have a "baby doll" head in my inventory - does anyone have the entire baby's body, and do you know what level we got that on?

I have the entire yellow bear and entire GI Joe like doll - but the baby figure would help me out with my next level.

Any help you guys could provide as to which level this might be on would be appreciated,

Thanks,

There is one known bug that will corrupt your save file...

Apparently, if you 'grab' onto a wheel using a motor that is set to maximum speed you could corrupt your file. I'm not sure how that works, but it does.

Some guy actually made a level just to cause peoples toons to corrupt. He was bragging about it on some forum and how he had 300 run throughs and zero hearts at that time. Basically, he made a level with a full throttle motor on a wheel and that was it. Anyone who played it got corrupted.

So, if you see a wheel (or whatever) that is spinning really really fast, you may not want to gamble. Same if you are creating... Do not set any motor to it's maximum speed in your level as you may inadvertently corrupt peoples sacks and yours as well.

I wont. It sucks, but you knew it would happen anyway. They can't get sued for it and loose money.

Guess we just have to be more creative when we make levels now.

I would think the movie based levels aren't as in big as trouble as the game related levels - for obvious reasons.

Taking away the ability for people to create "fan" levels will really take away people's incentive. Half the fun of making a level is creating something people are automatically familiar with. My next one is going to be themed (although, not from Hollywood or the gaming industry, so I'm safe).

Still I had thoughts for later ones based on movies - guess that's not going to happen. I'm not going to take a chance on having hours and hours of my hard work being deleted with the push of a button. They should at least leave it on your hard-drive. That's not cool that they completely wipe it clean. It's a sad day for LBP.

Seems like they could just call them something slightly different that makes it obvious what it is but is different enough that it doesn't cause problems. People have been cloning various games for years by being similar and using a slightly different name. They've even done that sort of thing in games with teams, cars, etc.

the fact that the music is different, and you're a sackboy should be enough... I mean it's really dumb. but we all knew it would happen.

Sony and MM should of seen this coming a mile away as its content that they'll technically be profiting them therefore they'll be held liable for it regardless of whom 'created it' as all levels (game and player created) belong to Sony and MM.

This is obviously tough news, but not completed unxpected. A large appeal to the user-created levels, to me, was seeing how people sort of LBP'ified something, whether it was a game, show, movie, or whatever.

The news does make me worry about my Connect Four level, but I'm not Milton Bradley has a copyright on a yellow and blue colored box thing, with slots in them to drop things down. The only thing that puts it at risk, I would think, is that I titled the level "Connect Four".

Instead of balking and changing the name, I'll just let it go, and see what happens. But first, I'll use my object-capturing tool, to copy the whole connect four machine that I built, so I will have it saved in my items.

I know that Mm can go in and delete the level from "My Moon", so I can't just republish it, but if I have all the major pieces of the level saved, I can easily re-create it at some point, making minor changes to avoid it getting "moderated" again.

Mike, I wouldn't worry about connect 4. I think that's the name of the game on my iPhone too and no one has come after them...

As for other games, like Mario levels. If you just don't name it something Mario related and draw attention to it, then it probably wont get deleted.

I mean of course if you name it "Mario NES level 1-1 Remake" it's probably going to be flagged.

Well i checked again today and its gone, its the arkham asylum level. the one where the creator took pics of characters from the animated series, he even made a mini bruce wayne living room. i loved that level
now it wont even load and it just has a big exclamation point on it.
im still confused cause i still can find tons of other batman, mario, and god of war levels thats not deleted.

THE BATMAN LEVEL IS GONE!!!???

That was one of the best "new" levels since the beta.

Why did we buy this game again? And doesnt this make the eyetoy even MORE of a joke for this game, as if you take a brand name thing, take a pic of it, and put it in your level it will most likely get pulled.

I think you're supposed to use it for your face and textures... not copywritten material.
