Just watched this, wasn't as impressed as everyone else. The whole modern western theme just felt cheesy. The strong Texas theme was also very cheesy. Maybe they both go together. Felt like Breaking Bad with Hank and Gomez with the two Rangers. Plus the skank was the bank teller.

The ending with Foster was a let down, felt boring, and just didn't feel real. However I did love the last scene of the film and thought it really tied the movie together. I know people will bash me for this and they are two completely different films, but I was more entertained by Triple 9. I would also put The Town (Director's Cut) Place Beyond the Pines, and Sicario above this film.

for the record. the town extended cut is crap. the scenes are too long and drawn out and ruins the flow.

and first off its NOT the director's cut, ben himself prefers the theatrical after all he did direct it.
