But, will something limited appear at some point?

I've been wondering this, but I have a feeling maybe not this time around. It's not part of the new trilogy, which I imagine will all get special edition treatment, and they've already announced the 3D so I'm reckoning it'll be just this, and the same for the other standalone movies.

I'll probably wait anyway. It's not like it's going to sell out.

Just booked tickets to see this on Monday - I'm a Picturehouse member ('til January) and they now do cheap Mondays, so only cost me a fiver.

I will see Episode VIII in IMAX 3D next year though, especially considering it's Rian Johnson...and Star Wars.

Yeah, they might compile the Anthology films together and release them as a set...if you don't mind waiting 'til Christmas 2020!

Might be my first UHD release - if there's one planned?

Disney don't yet support UHD.

The rumor is Disney will be announcing their first 4K releases at CES next month. Rogue One had a 4K DI too unlike TFA which only had a 2K DI so it's very possible we'll see a 4K release.

Interesting, and sounds somewhat promising. But I'll take it with a grain of salt with the amount of times we've heard rumours of something like this.

Would be interesting to see, however, wether Disney or Fox would be behind a UHD release of the original film, considering Fox has a lifetime perpetuity over the film.

After watching Rogue One I really want to see the unaltered trilogy on blu ray

I'm figuring, as it's Disney, we'll get a shiny slipcase on initial release for each of them, so that's the route I'm going for uniformity.

Booked to go see it tomorrow night at the Hengrove Cineworld in Bristol. The sights I'll get to see out of the number 75 bus window on the way might make the movie seem less exciting...
