The one piece of advice I can give you is:

DON"T LET THEM OUTNUMBER YOU!

Once you do, it's all downhill from there. In addition to the fact that you no longer can deal with them one-for-one, having >4 in the family poses other logistical problems. Getting a table at a resturaunt is now more difficult. Your family vehicle options now become fewer. You'll need a bigger house with more bedrooms. Etc....

Seriously, though, enjoy the heck out of 'em while they are young, because they grow-up real quick. Mine are 11, 15 and 17, and I really miss the days when all they were little. Then again, it is nice being able to enjoy movies, games, etc. with them on a semi-adult level.

You probably learned this from the first one but don't look after the baby pops out. The boboli pizza without cheese is not a pretty site

Other than that, two is a hell of a lot more work than one. I've got a 2.5 and a 9 month (both boys).. Free time is minimal.

oh yeah, try to get the older one on a schedule for bedtime if you haven't already. we give our daughter bath @ 8 each night and she's in bed by 9. that way you can concentrate getting the baby to bed @ a decent hour and still have time to watch blus or play video games or whatever it is that u do.

just had a second boy this past weekend. first one is 3 1/2. just abandon work and do everything your wife says, and you will be fine.

Yeah, we give her a bath @7-ish and in bed by 8-ish. I am worried that if our daughter is not potty-trained by the time the baby arrives, she will regress.

Congrats.... I have to agree that 2 is enough.I have twins so I had double the fun and frustration at the same time.
My advice is let your older one help her Mom with the baby when him or her arrives that way she will feel good about getting another member in the home.

my advice would be to be firm but forgiving. we put our daughter in big girl underwear one day and made it fun for her to go. if she had an accident, make her feel better and just change her.

it may not be the right way, but we bribed her w/starbursts after she went on the toilet. took 3 days.

Bribing is definately my plan. My parents told me they bribed my with Star Wars action figures and I went like a champ.

my daughter was 2 1/2 when she was fully trained. there's nothing like looking for her and then u hear the sound of the toilet flush. cutest damn thing in the world.

i was pumped about not having to buy diapers for 2 kids!!

My first definitely regressed some. Probably didn't help that we moved at the same time as well as a complication of momma being in the hospital for 10 days while the new guy was on an IV with anti-biotics (precautionary).

It's a big change from being the only boy getting all the attention to having to share time and it has been a rollercoaster for sure.

Yeah, I didn't focus on any of the positives but there are lots of good times as well. They like to take baths together, etc.

Good luck

My son turned 1 recently, and the party, milestone, etc.... has my wife jones'n to start again......

Congrats to all of you..... I'm the youngest of 6, and our son was my parent's 19th grand-child...... so they expect more, and my wife expects more, and my in-laws expect more.......

My only advice, don't sweat the small stuff.

Don't have kids but have experience. Only thing I can tell you - cherish the time you have with them as it WILL FLY BY! Don't shelter them. Let them get dirty, let them get germs, let them have FUN! Too many people worry about germs and sheltering your kids from that only hurts them. They need immunities.

Can't wait to have kids myself. Looking to one day have 3. Hopefully all boys. Then again, I am 28 and no woman in sight, so who the hell knows.

Congrats though!
