For fellow film noir fans here in Atlanta...

I've already seen The Maltese Falcon and Double Indemnity on big theater screens, but I might make it down into the perimeter to see a couple more of these. Sweet Smell of Success would be tremendous to see on at the theater.

Man, Why doesn't nothing ever come around my town like this. At best I have to drive to NYC but that is a hassle and a half. Enjoy that though Owl, some great titles on the big screen there!!!

Christmas Holiday (1944). Don't be fooled by the innocuous title.

On the subject of Christmas Noir, I'd recommend The lady in the lake.

Caught up with I Wake Up Screaming today...and while a perfectly fine noir tale...the incessant use of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" is one of the worst/most distracting musical choices I can recall

Here's an impressively thorough list of films noir from the 1940s and 1950s...

Plundering the Genre: Film Noir

This list includes many entries that some of us consider to be merely "noir-stained", but I like the poster's idea of including any and all films from the 1940s and 1950s that have been named as noir by film experts at some point in time.

Very nice! Your family must really love you.

That's a very sexy photo of Gardner and Lancaster.

I recently signed up for the free 2 week trial of FilmStruck and I noticed they have a good majority of Fritz Lang's Noir particularly from his time with Warner Bros:

https://watch.filmstruck.com/#!/bundle/1520000062

I've never seen a lot of these, so I probably continue my subscription once the trial is over.

I watched my blind buy of Yellow Sky last night and about half-way into the runtime I thought to myself that this could easily be considered a film noir western. My hunch was further strengthened when after the movie was over I noticed it was based on a book by W.R. Burnett, who wrote many famous novels and short stories that were adapted into crime- and heist-based films noir including The Asphalt Jungle, High Sierra, and Nobody Lives Forever.)

Sure enough, Yellow Sky is on that list.

I'm gonna watch Fritz Lang's Rancho Notorious on Filmstruck. I've read this is another one of those Noir stained Westerns as Owl put it.

Keep an eye out for Robert Wise's Blood on the Moon starring Mitchum, it is the most Noir of all western, imho....

Seconded - Blood on the Moon is very noir-ish. Also worth a watch if you're interested in noir flavoured westerns are Raoul Walsh's Pursued (again with Robert Mitchum), and Colorado Territory (a western remake of High Sierra)....and one of my favourites Station West, with Dick Powell
