I don't think I'll ever use paypal to purchase something via Google Play again since every other payment I've ever made to Google Play was instant. But it might be good to note that if you use paypal, it might tell you that your payment couldn't be confirmed and then it will go through like 15 minutes later. Google Play will just waste your time without any sort of apology for the inconvenience if you do try to contact them (after they tell you that you have to contact the seller, which is them) if you do experience an issue. Really not worth it for $3 in savings. |

This was also my first purchase with PayPal yesterday on google play. When I first went to checkout it sent me to the terms of service, well I read some of it. It says it will use your default payment, well that was my bank. I've had problems before on orders using my bank. Before I checked out I had to go to PayPal and change my default wallet payment from my bank to my credit card for online orders. |

I decided to try your suggestion and bought just $5 to make my total credit balance $9. now it won't let me select credit to pay with (says "$9 - insufficient balance"). check out the screenshot i took.

I do not know why it let me split payment on a Toy Story 2 then. I know last week it wouldn't let me split on Star Wars. There has to be something that kicks it on and off but I guess my theory was wrong. It's madness that google has it set up that way. You would think all payments to the store would come out of your credits first automatically.

Can you explain the 're-establish' part? How does one keep up eligibility for these promos?

When I bought Vudu DMA titles, they added instantly. Those DMA titles would THEN show up on DMA and then on Google Play. By that logic, I would assume Google Play talked back to DMA. Not in this case. I bought the two titles above on the last two 50% off promos. Didn't add. I refunded and then proceeded to buy on Vudu since they had DMA flags I could confirm. Those titles then added. It wasn't until after I did the buys that I was told that DMA may...MAY...need a connection refresh to Google Play. Every six months with any possibility. Now, even though those titles showed DMA enabled on DMA's side, I operated under the presumption that somehow, Avengers and Cap 1 escaped the DMA add for whatever reason on Google Play's side. They don't state any of their titles are or are not DMA. So it was a gamble I thought failed badly. And others confirmed afterward they bought Avengers, Cap 1, and so on and they all added on DMA from Google Play instantly, give or take a few minutes. Only Google Play has needed this on my end. Otherwise, I have done Vudu and there were no problems. I redeemed on DMA and they added to both Vudu and Google Play. So...keep that in mind. |

Do I simply log in to my DMA account, go to the part with the linked accounts, deselect/unlink them, save, and then reselect/relink them, and save again? Is that all I need to do to renew the links to iTunes/Vudu/AMZ/GP/etc... from within DMA? |

But make sure the account you add in is the right one. Once done, it's going to need six months before you can try again. |

Is this still good, and at what point does the 50% off show up?
I'm on the edge about pulling the trigger on the Star Wars bundle, but am leaning more towards getting it since today might be the last day at the sale price. Before, when I was browsing the collection, it showed as $39.99 (half off the $79.99 price) right on the product page. Now when I refresh the page it just shows up as $79.99, but it says "You can apply your movie reward at checkout." I can't remember if it said that before and still showed the $39.99 price, or if they changed things and now it shows the regular sale price on the page and with the disclaimer that now you have to wait until checkout before seeing the 50% discount. Or, even worse, that maybe they pulled the SW bundle from eligibility altogether. I click on the "$79.99 Buy HD" button and it takes me to another pop up that asks "HD or SD" and just gives me only the option of "$79.99 HD." I'm a little afraid to click on that button as I don't know if I click on that button if I'm actually submitting the order, or if there is another check out screen. I'm leaning towards buying at $39.99 (and then buying ANH separately on iTunes), but I definitely don't want it at GP at the $79.99 price (if I were going to pay $70-$80, I'd just buy it directly at iTunes, my main digital copy service). Does anyone know if the SW bundle is still eligible for the 50% discount (it used to show $39.99 on the product page before, even earlier today, so I'm a little concerned that it's showing $79.99 now), or it that has changed? And do you now have to wait until checkout before seeing the 50% discount applied? Also, if I click on this "$79.99 HD" button in the pop up box, will it take me to a final checkout screen where I submit my order, or is this the order submission? ![]() |

For some reason, the discount now doesn't show up until you actually check out. Up until even this morning/afternoon, it was showing the $39.99 discounted price right on the product page for me. But tonight, when I went purchase and refreshed the screen it started showing up as $79.99. But after clicking the Buy button, and then the Buy button again on the next pop up window which asks if you want HD or SD (even though there is only an HD option), it then takes you to a 2nd/final pop up which is the actual checkout page. On that checkout pop up window, it shows the discount and it also shows your payment options. In case anyone else had the same questions. I then went to try the other code above but unfortunately it seems like that one is expired now. Rats, should have done this all before 1/1/17, when that PayPal promo was still active and probably that second 50% off code too. I was going to get National Treasure. (Maybe I still will since I have $10 GP credit sitting in my account from somewhere that I never used). At least the title will port over via DMA to my other accounts and also give me DMR points too. Wish I did it while the other 50% off code was still active. Is there another 50% code floating around somewhere that is still active? |

Nice, just got 5 emails for each of the 5 DMA eligible titles saying they movie is ready to watch and that I got 150 DMR points (for each one).
Too bad IV: ANH is not included in DMA, I'm going to have to buy that one directly on iTunes. I haven't been following the prices on the SW titles, is $15 a good price for ANH, or are they usually at that price? Trying to decide if I should just get that now or wait/hope for a better price. |

The sale is scheduled to end today 1/3. Regular price is $20. There will not be a better price on iTunes. |

When I went to reassign my Google Play, it stated on the prompt that I could only add one account every six months. So you can change it once every six months on Google Play. Vudu is another story, but Google Play is what told me six months.
