If the 360 exclusives like Gears are coming to Windows what is the point of getting a 360? Why not just save the $500 bucks and add a high-end video card to your PC or get 10 more games for your PC instead.
I don't understand the strategy here. Especially now that the 360 has deviated from some of the key points that made consoles appealing over a PC to me and others..like.. 1. Standard design that provides the same experience for everyone. Now gone. 2. Stability of the platform resulting from 1. Now gone. Let me explain a bit - if I bought a 360 even a few months ago I would need to re-buy an Elite to get the latest capabilities. Might as well invest in the PC instead ..unless there are big games only available on the 360..except they are coming to the PC as well..and the PC versions are likely to exceed the 360. So in essence your now paying for timed exclusives, with lower quality games (than a PC) without the benefits of a stable console design. Just don't get how this approach sells 360's myself...it seems to discourage it in my mind. |
