I think they could of promoted it better. I would think a studio like WB would know how to get word out if they were to crowd source things. I don't trust reviews on this site since they gave 4 stars to City That Never Sleeps and almost every Criterion movie is a masterpiece.

About 18 months ago or so, Nick Redman mentioned that there would be eventual special editions of Peckinpah movies on blu ray (not necessarily through TT).

Has anybody heard any updates on this ? I'm starting to get fed up my my dvds...I just caved in and picked up my 3rd Peckinpah blu (the US release of Straw Dogs).

That would be nice - but at this point all I want is Pat Garret on blu. One of my fav films of all time

The TT blu does look pretty good. It's the best available too.

I just had to quote the above post, because yeah, if more fans can get hold of this classic, what's the problem ?

The reissue appears to have one new extra compared to the old release. I believe most of the MGM reissues have been the same.

Interesting. She worked on a lot of Peckinpah's films. I may pick this re-edition up if it sticks around for a future sale. I'm also waiting to see what Arrow UK bring to the table with their strongly rumoured release which should be out by the end of the year.

If and when someone gets this re-issue, could he/she kindly let us know if there are any other differences compared to the 2014 release than the additional commentary.

It was only a matter of time. Glad I didn't get the TT version.

I did. Wonder if this is region free. Some Arrow releases are and some are not.

Arrow releases will typically only be region free now if they are also releasing it in the US. Since Twilight Time has the US rights, it will likely be Region B locked.

Anyone know why I got $32 on Ebay for this, plus shipping? I've sold out of print TT discs for less than that. Really strange, not that I am complaining.

I replaced it with the stunning Arrow Video version.
