Nothing special. It was tolerable enough to enjoy the excellent picture quality.

I thought it was...interesting. Not amazing, as its message is a little muddled, but worth a watch.

What message? War sucks, soldiers go through enormous psychologial trauma, people tend to glamorize and idealize what soldiers do and what they think like?
I dont need a movie to remind me of that

I thought the movie was just as fantastic as the picture quality, but I know I'm pretty much alone in that opinion.

Not as bad as the hype but nothing great, either. It tries to tackle too many things and ends up not tackling anything all that successfully, but it's worth watching for the technology and the performances.

Watched it yesterday on a x7000 and it looks fantastic. Best looking uhd for me till now. The 60 frames are ok for me
for this kind of movie. Doku/ Experimental style thing maybe. But i would prever a 24 frames version anytime. I realy enjoy this movie. Great!
Checked the 3d blu ray after watching the film and noticed how much better the 30 frames work. But the picture was realy not that clear as the 4k version.
Surprise me that the normal and 3d blu ray where region free.
Watched via xbox one s, btw. Hopefully the atmos update is coming soon.

I dont understand why they couldnt have the 3D also in 60fps...That would be ideal

Then it would be limited to 720/60p?

Regretably the Blu-ray UHD standard has NO 3d support. Something many of us think was dumb. Some of these TV's do support HEVC with 3d. Not sure if that includes 3d at 60 FPS.

Both in a way I guess. From what I recall, the HDMI 1.4a specification does not allow it.

It's not in the spec for regular Blu-ray, at least, I assume you mean 1080/60p. 60i is there.

And UHD Blu doesn't support 3D at all.

Yes, transmission of 1080p60 to each eye for 3D was not permitted until HDMI 1.4b. And the pre-UHD Blu-ray spec itself does not include provision for 1080p60 encoding, not even in 2D never mind 3D.
