Sadly, its an all in one computer 5.1 system. So its basically 1 headphone jack for the center, and the rest are like modified RCA cables. Im just wondering if Its even worth looking into a real system when I cant enjoy it anyways. At the same time, it could be the crappy speakers doing it so I dont know.

Although I can tolerate HTIB for my PC, my HT system deserves better. I had already spent over $2000 for the HDTV and BD player, so it made sense to me to sink another $2000, actually a lot more, into the AVR , 7 speakers, and a subwoofer. I never get listening fatigue by the end of a movie or even after a couple of movies.

Yeah I'd maybe guess listening fatigue. The sound may be too bright and harsh and ends up just ... wearing you out.

Have you tried going over to a friend's place and watching a whole movie on their setup? Does the same thing occur? How about at the theater? Same, or are you ok?

It may be the speakers, or it may be you, or it may be a combination of both. You might have to do some shopping to find what sounds comfortable to you.

Ive never been bothered by the theater speakers or any tv/computer speakers. Ill be picking up a better quality htib in a couple weeks so ill just have to wait till then and see how i react to those.
Hopefully its the speakers and not me
