Damn, those weekend hours surprise me. I guess that's a good time when a lot of people will be looking for a DD. Is your commute to work very far? And here is a link to that story. I didn't read this article. I actually read one in one of the men's interest magazines. It might have been Maxim where I saw it.

20 Minutes each way for my commute. Sometimes longer if I'm needed to go the Pittsburgh headquarters (just over an hour).

Ahhh yeah. The moment I saw the headline I quickly remembered. I grew up on the other side of Ohio, not too far from Michigan. Kalamazoo isn't too far away.

Ah 20 minutes isn't bad at all. I used to commute 90 miles each way to the Bay Area so it took me about 1.5 hours. I was lucky that I started early and got off early. You get off at 3pm or so, a 3-hour trip home would be normal. It actually took me almost 5 hours to get to SJ about a month ago because they had two lanes shut down for just a short stretch. It was awful.

I suppose the good thing about seemingly never-ending, soul-crushing conference calls is that they take HUGE bites out of your day. That being said, I've gotten not as much true work done as I had hoped.

I guess, but it's either listen intently on the call and don't bang out work OR bang out work and flake on the call, but it's tough to multi-task and do both. Either way, there is actual work to be done that isn't getting done due to these types of days. Anyway, the alternative is FAR worse so I'll just have to power through!
