Buying Blu-ray in Manhattan - Blu-ray Forum

So guys, what are the cheapest stores for buying blu in Manhattan? My aunt is coming over for Christmas and she said she would get me whatever title I wanted.. I dont want to sent her around the island looking for blus so where should I send her?

Also, what do you think I should ask for??? (region free please - I live in Ireland)

Sorry, no one really busy anything in store here.

Otherwise, maybe Disc-o-Rama usually has a sale of 3 for $60. Could be good depending on the titles you're looking for. I got an additional 10% off that once, I think. not sure why.

hmm.. JR seems pricey? OK, I'm not going to find online prices in a high street strore I guess but thought they would be a bit cheaper.. seems to be averaging $27-$28..

ha! never thought of that! she lives there.. she's visiting us for Christmas! Deepdiscount quick to deliver? Will email her the links tmrw so! Cant believe I didnt think of that before!

And to the OP, cheap and Manhattan are hard to fit in the same sentence. I'd recommend just going to Best Buy.

However, there are places you can go to that are a bit pricier, but they'll sell you stuff way before street date. For instance, I was just at a place that had The Day the Earth Stood Still and The Dark Knight.

I do this all the time. My grandmother goes and visits her relatives in Germany. I send stuff to their house and she brings it home for me

There may be more sales going on in the next couple of weeks so be on the lookout

Why is everyone here expecting a Woody Allen film?

This is a BARGAIN section...not the main "release" section. If you haven't heard about it being release, there can be no bargain for it.

yeah, Manhattan tends not to be the best place to shop for movies...high rent = high prices

Best Buy doesn't generally have good prices...your best bet will be some online retailer, ship it to her house and then have it brought to you

Well, now MANHATTAN is finally coming out on Blu-ray this month, and boy have prices ever come down since 2008! Too bad I won't be visiting New York in the near future. It would be great to buy MANHATTAN in Manhattan and celebrate it with a Manhattan! I guess two out of three ain't bad!
