After the theatrical trailers are bypassed, 3D is chosen and Top Menu appears, I just press "Film" (I do not go into the "version" choices). The film starts with English as the default. When pressing "audio" on the remote it shows the second choice in 4 choices = "English DTS-HD MA 5.1" as being active. When pressing the"Subtitle" button on the remote the pop-up on screen shows the first choice = "French" is active and if I try to choose Off or the other two French choices, a pop-up appears: "Operation is Blocked by Disc" comes on screen. Never the less, no forced French subtitles are showing up on screen with the 203 and I'm enjoying the movie subtitle-free with English lossless audio. |

I don't have my player's default language selected since I like it to just go to whatever is on audio track #1, so setting it to English must select the 2nd audio track on this but not change the default subtitles. Good to know that's another workaround. Will have to check and see if there truly is anything at all on that first subtitle track.

there are two australian releases that are region free, the guillotines and hara-kiri death of a samurai, both of them have the region free symbol on the back of the case and on the disc, english subtitles is included on the australian releases of both films.

![]() From what I can remember the 3D is good (native, not converted) but the film is bad. Uncut version: ![]() ![]() Last edited by the13thman; 03-04-2017 at 05:39 PM. Reason: added images |

All of those will be terrible German autoconversions. For what it's worth I own Clown in 2D but probably would have bought the 3D version if it was cheap even though I know the 3D is worthless. I watched The Strangers in 2D and didn't like it, I wouldn't buy that in any format.

Watched part of Last Unicorn in 3D. The first 15 minutes are very flat and full of errors. Poorly made 3D boxes around text, very little to no 3D in most scenes. But shortly after the unicorn meets the moth, things start to pick up and it actually looks solid.

![]() I decided to risk a purchase and was pleased to find that the disc does indeed contain an English dub track. Not only that, but the French subtitles are removeable. Phew! I would rather watch the film in its original language (German) with English subtitles of course, but there's no release that offers that. |

Seems there are a lot more titles on blu ray 3D for Region B from what I've seen over the years and in this thread, compared to the exclusives for the US 3D market.

Region B tends to have more animations and low budget horrors while Region A has more vintage 3D and stuff from Hong Kong and Japan - it hugely sucks that region coding still exists, there are classics unique to each region so you really can't be a proper 3D movie fan if you don't have dual region capacity. Sorry if this has been posted about already, but I'm fairly new here and not used to the particulars of searching Blu-ray.com forums for a certain topic.
Any members routinely buy 3D titles from outside the U.S. (particularly Amazon UK), and who have discovered they play in U.S. players? As an example, I'm thinking of a couple of Disney titles that were advertised on Amazon UK as being region 2, but were actually all region. After discovering they were both all-region, I ordered them from Amazon UK. Frozen was one, forget the other. Right now I'm on vacation so I can't check my collection for the the other title. What I'm looking to find is some single source (hopefully here) of information about recent (and upcoming) other region 3D releases that are actually multi-region / all region releases... even though they are advertised as specifically some other region. Particularly titles that aren't getting a U.S 3D blu-ray release. If there's already a thread (or other source) that covers this, please point me in that direction. Many thanks. AGGGGG!!! Just realized this is posted in the wrong forum. Can't figure out how that happened. If a mod could move it to the correct one, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Yes, apart from the packaging of course, the German edition is fully English-friendly i.e. it has the English title on the film and no forced subs.
