My multi-region player arrived today, and so did these little beauties, all Region A. There'll be no stopping me now!

I'm thinking Metalstorm first, followed by Tiger Mountain. I caught the first few minutes of the latter and was mesmerized.

Some of my favourite movies were panned by virtually everybody. If I like a trailer, that's enough for me and I don't care what anyone else says. I'll always make up my own mind, especially as my tastes are slightly different from a lot of people. If I listened to everyone else all the time I'd never have seen some of the best movies in my collection.

For example in 2015 everyone said Pan and Terminator Genisys were absolutely terrible movies but they both made my top five of the year, no kidding. Especially Pan which I think is one of the best fantasy movies I've ever seen!

I'm not having a pop at you Rocky but I know you ask for other people's opinions a lot and that's cool, testing the water so to speak, gauging people's thoughts on something, it does make sense. I just think it's a shame to dismiss something just based on what some other's think without making your own mind up. I mean if for example you're the kind of person that always agrees with the general consensus on movies I can understand it a bit more. However there must have been instances of you watching a movie that got panned by many, only for you to find that you really enjoyed it? I always seem to feel differently to the consensus so that's why it's important to me to make my own mind up. I admit it can be an expensive way of finding out if you like something, by blind buying a lot but I am very rarely disappointed and I rarely regret a purchase. I look at the talent involved, the actors, the trailer and that's enough for me. Perhaps it helps that I love action movies and adventure and fantasy and VFX so one could say I'm easily pleased, but whatever as long as I enjoy it that's all that matters to me.

Back to AC, the trailer was awesome, a lot of people here say the 3D is awesome, i'll be buying it day one and I guarantee I'm really going to enjoy it. I am that confident about it. Yet everyone tells me Captain America Civil War is amazing film but I just didn't care for it, go figure!
Well I love Warcraft and most people did not. So I might just pull the trigger on A.C. and hope for the best[emoji4]

Same. I bought the 2D Warcraft real cheap because I was anticipating that I would've wasted my money if I paid extra for the 3D release.
Loved it.
Bought the 3D release and still need to check it out.

I watched it and I don't think the 17% rating at Rotten Tomatoes is deserved. It's not the greatest of movies, however, as a highly stylized action-based movie, it delivered and satisfied me thoroughly.

On top of that the 3D was quite enjoyable, too. A good amount of beyond-the-screen effects.

I loved Warcraft so much I ended up getting both UHD and 3D brand new. The picture is like dessert for my eyes
Soundtrack is also top notch in Warcraft

Hi Ray,

Ordered "Thor" (2011) today and will watch a film tonight - unless there's more fun to watch on CNN!

I liked WARCRAFT. I had no previous baggage regarding the material and found it had a coherent narrative, great visuals and immersive 3D.

Ordered The Great Wall 3D from JB HiFi in Australia. Hoping it's region free. If not, then oh well.

Watched Moana last night. Beautiful film, and I really enjoyed it. Great characterizations, and it was fairly humorous. Not the best Disney movie, but far from the worst.

Good depth -- as per usual with Disney, not very many popouts.

Keep watching 'til the end of the credits.

Last bought:

Recieved my pre-order of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 3D steelbook. Will probably watch this during the weekend. Can't wait!

Last seen:

Secret Life of Pets

Loved the 3D (take into account that I'm a 3D noob so don't have too much to compare it to) The film itself didn't blew me away, but was better than I had expected.

That's quite pricey but I'm very curious to get more details! Why does every Japanese release cost an arm and a leg?!?

I have tickets to see Beauty & the Beast in IMAX 3D tonight!

Received:
Hunger Games: Mockingjay 1 & 2 3D
Beowulf 3D
X-Men: First Class 4K UHD
X-Men, X2 & X3 Icon Slipcovers (same as FAC steels @ 10% of the price!)

Ordered:
Blufans Godzilla 3D - Lenti Slip
Those Red Heads from Seattle 3D
Iron Man 1-3 4K UHD Steelbook

Watched:
The Wolverine 3D: I really enjoyed this film. I've been fascinated by Japanese culture since the 7th grade and I love Japanese locales, sets, architecture, interior design and costumes used in this film. 3D was just icing on the cake in terms of making it more immersive and tactile for me. I LOVED Yashida-san's house and watching it in 3D is the closest I will ever come to living in such a place!

I was surprised by how much I like Warcraft as well because I wasn't expecting to. In fact, I intentionally passed it over while it was in theaters. Since purchasing the 3D Blu-ray I have watched it three times already! I didn't purchase the 4K but wish they had given us a 4K/3D combo as an option. I would have purchased it!

Joe, its a struggle not to jump in and yell "cancel your thor purchase now!".

And I lost the battle

Like Clash (not Wrath) its one of the few movies that I actually like a lot but will never use the 3D bluray again.

Speaking of which, I just watched Clash of the Titans in 2D and it was refreshing to just enjoy the movie instead of being so upset with the 3D. And it set the mood nicely for Wrath of the Titans which we watched right afterwards. The 3D in Wrath is immersive enough and always present but you can tell its on the older side of the conversion spectrum because of the way its used is not as effective as conversions of today where techniques have improved.

Just sent an email to Raul&I asking them if they will be able to sell "The Great Wall 3D" to U.S. consumers.

$20.63 USD = the 1349.00 Indian Rupee's Amazon.in is asking.

He might be a little gunshy after the whole Petes Dragon fiasco

For people that don't know , At amazon India You cannot get Bluray movies shipped directly to the U.S. , you have to use a third party.

if you want to buy a 3D bluray from India , you can get it through Raul&I from EBAY or their Website.

Hi infinite,

Thanks for the sympathy.

I've read the criticisms of Thor's 3D but do have both Titan films. Because my expectations weren't high for either entry, I found myself not disappointed. Think I'll feel the same with Thor

The darbee 5000S does help enhance 3D, even with simulation, so maybe that might raise Noah Syndergaard's hammer a bit more.
