Default Hellraiser in Blu April 21
Anchor Bay has announced they will release Hellraiser in blu-ray. Currently they're eyeballing an April 28th Street Date.

About time. Given the original word was it was going to be released this year.

Since they're releasing a SE DVD of Hellraiser 2 in December, hopefully the sequel comes to Blu-Ray in April as well. I'll definatly upgrade to both as long as the extras are intact.

You are in for a treat as the first one is the best in my opinion. 2 is pretty good and from there on they seem to drop off with each release.

I was looking forward to getting my hands on this around Halloween, but Anchor Bay did not deliver. Hopefully they will get around to releasing it this time.

Most likely. I don't have a problem with that. I'll happily upgrade to Blu-Ray if the extras carry over.

Number 3 isn't all that bad... I agree that the first 2 are the best (with the original raging way, way at the top), but I really enjoyed number 3 as well. It's gory, and some of Pinheads finest oneliners are in that one. Some not too good cenobites, but all in all a respectable entry in the series...

I'm not even gonna mention the ones after the third one though...
