Honestly, her acting reminds me of Cindy Crawford. Pure cringe-worthy that pulls a person right out of a movie.
I never thought of gaddot as being wooden.... Jennifer Lawrence, emma watson, and Kristen Stewart I do feel are wooden. Gaddot comes off as strong and confident imo.

Watson, definitely, but Lawrence and Stewart? They don't hold a candle to the greats of earlier generations, but those two aren't wooden. Stewart seems to have been saddled with the perception that her Twilight performances are the best she can do, and Lawrence has her disingenuous off-screen persona to blame for the unfortunate backlash against her, but they are actually really decent performers. Watson is bleurgh, though. To call her vanilla is an insult to vanilla.

Gadot? She's pretty.

I agree with this completely.

I will keep hope that I am proven wrong though. but were there not rumblings already with how bad this movie was? Am I wrong?

There's negative rumblings around most recent DCEU movies. It's just the way it is. I guess there's not long to wait until we can decide for ourselves.

He's not that bad but I hear ya. Im more concerned about the movie being more spectacle thatn substance. And yes, I KNOW its a superhero action movie but thats doesnt mean we cant have a good story, developed characters and a reason to care about all the crazy action/fighting.

If nothing else, all these WW posters look amazing... anyone know where we can get prints? I'd love to buy a whole bunch to incorporate into mosaic of some type for an entire wall.

She and Pine are gonna be hilarious. Along with Lucy Davis, who looks awesome as Etta.

I'm speaking from seeing them in films as I don't pay attention to the celeb news of the ent. Industry but we all have opinions

Wonder Woman looks like the best DC movie so far by a huge margin. I bet it will be their best reviewed, but The Mummy coming out the very next week and then Transformers: The Last Knight after that will hurt it at the box office. People like Tom Cruise and giant Michael Bay robots.

My opinion of people's reviews of DC movies? I can't actually state that opinion here, because they don't allow that sort of language.

Me too. I'm vaguely aware of their media profiles in as much as anyone who follows the film industry absorbs tidbits of information here and there, but I'm mostly going off their actual talents, and on that front Lawrence and Stewart seem to get a raw deal for things that happen off-screen. They're both actually good actresses.

I think Gadot has a strong look to her. I wonder if we will see her kind side of the character instead of beating the shit out of people.
It's too bad there isn't a Linda Carter or Susan Eisenberg cameo.

Yes, she has a unique look to her, in as much as she can't be mistaken for any of her contemporaries. I was quite surprised at how well she emoted in BvS. I was anticipating a mess but she was pleasantly competent, which was more than I was expecting. There'll certainly be softer and quieter moments where we'll see her talk about her feelings, so I wouldn't be too concerned about WW being a one-note ass-kicking machine.

Wonder Woman will likely perform better than The Mummy at the US box office. And if WW does Man of Steel numbers or better ($291m) while TF: The Last Knight does TF: Age of Extinction numbers ($245m), that would mean that WW will out perform TF in the US as well.

People tend to forget that the trajectory for TF in the US is trending downwards, even as they clean up internationally. (Same for Pirates).

Besides, Transformers releases three weeks later, when WW will have earned 85-90% of its US box office.

Wonder Woman will have to open to nearly 150m in order to perform as good as Man of Steel given the competition that surrounds it, which is stronger than MoS faced. MoS also had the benefit of being the DCEU's opener, meaning all of the anticipation and none of the negativity. All decks are stacked against WW, thanks largely to the DCEU itself. If the movie manages anywhere north of 225m with decent wom from both critics and audiences alike it should be considered a win.
