I am suffering superhero burn out and hadn't planned on seeing this in the theater but the reviews have changed my mind.

What is this? Did we all wake up an another alternative universe? Where DC movies are great again?! Can't wait to see this, and glad about Patty Jenkins, she put a lot of heart and soul into this film, and it seems to be paying off critically. DC/WB will surely keep her on their payroll.

I hope they both do well, but assuming WW hits the $120m OW and has a 60% drop, that would put it at about $50m in the second weekend. That's the high end estimate for Mummy's OW right now.

Yeah, most likely WW doesn't have a shot at a Billion worldwide... BUT... it could muster numbers in the 800 million range? No?

Suicide Squad put up nearly 746 million... and I'm feeling the excitement for WW that goes beyond just the normal superhero geek crowd. I know some Grandma's and Mom's who are actually talking about this movie with great anticipation... and many of the reviews have stated that it's also very 'romantic'... that could stir up the teenage girls perhaps? I personally believe it will top Suicide Squad numbers... we shall see.

I want WW to do well but I also want Universal's new monster universe to get off to a good start. I think WW will win domestically but Mummy could overtake it internationally, at least for that weekend.

I'm sure it will. I can't recall the last time a trailer was as bad as that of The Mummy, let alone for a movie with Cruise in it.

If that film grosses under $1,000 worldwide, I wouldn't be surprised.

I have it preorderd via iTunes already. I'm not crazy about the song by Sia, but the one instrumental track that is available is beautiful. I'm guessing the former will be the end credits song.

There will be one more added to me & my sisters group, my brother-in-law. She called and asked me to order another ticket because his plans with his buddies fell through. I hope he enjoys it, he doesn't seem like someone who enjoys comic book films a whole lot. lol

I don't think WW has anything to worry about from the Mummy domestically.

Overseas however, I think there's more of a chance that Pirates and Mummy might take away.

The Mummy will do respectable numbers but Wonder Woman will win the weekend. DC needs this to be successful and I'm pulling hard for it to do great....and...its a total sausage fest in the top 20 Comic Book Adaptation's on Box Office Mojo so I wanna see a chick hit $300M domestic.

This movie will wallop all the other superhero movies at the box office. Parents will take young girls because she is a role model. Boys and men will go because it's an action movie and the star is good looking. Comic book fans will go because it's a comic book movie. In the end this will make so much money I think we can be assured right now of a second WW movie eventually. Never underestimate having a good looking actress play the main role to help with the box office. Or a secondary role as we saw in Suicide Squad.

Reviews for WW are looking promising. Given my sensitivity to the WW1 setting, if the tone is respectful from consensus on this board, I'll give it a shot.
