It's really funny to me how geniuenly little people pay attention to children's media these days. Do you have any idea how violents kids entertainment is? Have you even seen an episode of Tom and Jerry? How about the Minions movie, which frankly might be even more violent sand sexual than Wonder Woman? Hell, even Toy story has some pretty disturbing and violent imagery if you start thinking with the mindset of coddling children. As do most Disney films. The animated Beauty and the Beast features several attempted murders and a man plummeting to his death. You gonna be all pissy that children saw that too?

If you don't want YOUR kids to see Wonder Woman? Hell yeah. You're fine and totally ok to make that call. But to sit there and say OTHER people are bad for taking their kids? No. That's not acceptable. This is a film. They aren't beating their children. That's the parents right to decide. Not yours.

Yeah, because how other people raise their kids doesn't effect the rest of society? There is a reason we have school districts in this country. To keep the poorly raised kids in different schools then the kids who have been raised better.

88% rated it 4/5 or higher, here on the site. That makes me happy, cause I was looking forward to this and can't wait to go!

Criticizing the trailer for being cheesy is ridiculous. It's about an alien invasion being thwarted by a team that includes a man who dresses like a bat, a man who can talk to fish, a cyborg whose only remaining organic parts is half his head and his torso, etc. It's cheesy by default.

Very much Hyperbole... obviously this isnt a Gus van Sant Psycho situation... but it just felt like Captain America the whole way through... and yes, i know there are differences,, her being a god, and Captain being a man made super human, but to me tbat argument is almost like saying "Superman cant be Clark Kent... Clark Kent wears glasses, Superman doesn't... see, totally different!"

I enjoyed the flick very much, like i said in my original post, this is very much a course correction for DCCU, and i can not wait for the WW sequel that will be set in modern times.

As for taking kids to this... i was pretty surprised at some of the violence, you see bullets actually go into people and kill them, but no blood, so, PG13!

But i think the movoe is fine for kids, i may not take a 5 year old to see it, pry at least 8, but i dont think it will traumatize a kid... if they have seen Marvel flicks, this is no better or worse for them, hell maybe even better, little girls will have a live action super hero to dress up as for halloween and admire.

The more Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, the better. I thought she was really fantastic, and captured Diana's situation in a completely different world so well.

I just saw it and it was ok. I'd give it a 3/5. It's definitely better than the other movies in the D.C. Universe but that's not saying much.

What a major accomplishment this is. For Patty Jenkins, Gal Gadot, and everyone at DC. It was grand, it was heartfelt, it was bold, and it took its time to tell the story the best way it could be told. Gal really did embody the eponymous role in every way imaginable, and I can't wait for more adventures with her. Bring on Justice League and Wonder Woman 2!

Just when I thought I couldn't be any more excited, seeing the Justice League trailer on the big screen and then Wonder Woman being as fantastic as it was had me leaving the theater feeling totally pumped for the future of the DCEU!

7/10 I found this effort to be quite entertaining despite being unoriginal.

It is interesting to break down the overall tones of the film itself because although predictable throughout, it manages to craft enough of its own spin. It really is entirely cobbled together using VERY familiar elements that we’ve already seen. I know her source material originated first but the movie borrows heavily from familiar narratives. The movie IS a mix/copy of Captain America: The First Avenger (HEAVILY), Thor (mythology/powers), the Hogan’s Heroes TV show and a CGI video game boss battle cut scene. It’s the last two elements that seriously detract from the overall rating. The conclusion literally played out like a cartoon and not a very good one. Also, the infiltration of the German party played out very “sitcomish” complete with everyone speaking English.

Still, Gal Gadot captivated me as Wonder Woman and Chris Pine was amazing as Steve. They both elevate the overall material to be honest.

Moving forward, the DCEU would be smart to focus more on Wonder Woman and less on the garbage we’ve already seen. The only negative I see is that they made her overwhelmingly powerful. That can be a huge problem in the future not only when facing enemies but with consistency. Even in this film it was all over the place in terms of her power. One scene she is straining to lift her own body weight and the next she literally lifts a tank over her head.

Funny how it's almost a complete copy of Captain America: The First Avenger (with Thor stuff added in) and yet all the DC fans bad mouthed that movie. Now, it's "the greatest thing ever made" LOL! You can't love Wonder Woman but dislike First Avenger and be honest. (I liked them BOTH)

Sorry but Wonder Woman was waaaay better and much more badass than first avenger in my opinion.....first avenger dragged for me....and the war/fight scenes weren't as climatic for me...where as Wonder Woman from the very first fight to the end I was pumped every second every fight scene and moment was just perfectly done...the music/action/the empowerment for women that was displayed....everything was a 10/10 in my book
