I haven't received my Jackie Chan double feature disc that I preordered on May 31st. Is a delay like this usual?

Ordered Stormy Weather. I really didn't want to miss out on that one. I've never seen it, but when I was a teenager, i started working st a grocery store. And I befriended this older lady who was like a second mom to me. She always told
Me how I was more like her than her own child lol. She passed away a couple years ago. But this movie was one of her very favorites. And I'd really like to see it, just because she loved it so much. Sorry for the long drawn out story.

Such an underrated little gem.

It's Warner, so no, they won't.

On another note, the first reel of "Who'll Stop the Rain" might be one of the worst blu-rays I have. Luckily after the first 20 minute reel, the PQ greatly improves after that. But that first 20 is full of dirt, specks, scratches, noise, really ugly blooming, and scrolling horizontal lines reminiscent of the old VHS/Cable days.

I would expect delays now with the current issues at the ttmovies site. People getting duplicate orders and others not getting charged after the initial pre auth is a serious glitch. Hopeful that the situation is resolved soon.

Just picked up Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte from SAE, since the TT.com stock is apparently gone with no announcement. At least, the page is gone.

I'm betting double shipping orders didn't help matters, either.

Was expecting a box today. I even got an e-mail that said it's in the parcel locker outside my house.

Except I checked a few times and received no key.

Either USPS forgot to stick a key for me, or (more than likely) it wound up in somebody else's box. Gonna have to wait and see if somebody in the neighborhood finds it and is decent enough to bring it to me.

If/when it gets here, I seriously hope TT got my order right.

I'm in the same boat, but with a Blowitouttahere and eBay order. Confirmation shows delivery on Friday, but as of today nobody has bothered to return it.

Coleen Gray (Kiss of Death, Red River, The Killing, Nightmare Alley, Kansas City Confidential) has a role in State Fair, but it's only a minor uncredited role.

Hopefully everything gets ironed out soon.

I placed an order last week with them through the TT website, and haven't heard a peep back yet on any packages being shipped out.

Placed an order through SAE just now (the pricing of shipping to Canada honestly made all the difference between ordering from SAE or ordering from TT)

The Fortune Cookie
Peyton Place
The Boston Strangler
The Barefoot Contessa
Where the Sidewalk Ends
Hush... Hush, Sweet Charlotte

With Hush... being out of stock at TT's site, I didn't want to risk the chance of missing out on it, the fact that it's part of the sale didn't hurt at all!

Great price on Where the Sidewalk Ends, a film I've been meaning to upgrade from DVD since it came out, but always ended up getting pushed to the back of the pack for one reason or another.

And yeah, I'm aware that The Barefoot Contessa has been a title that's been on sale before. Unfortunately I didn't have the funds available to purchase it when it was on sale. I have the funds at the moment, and don't want to wait anymore (you never know when a surprise sell-out will happen these days).

And I've been waiting SO long for The Fortune Cookie to come out on Blu. I owned it on VHS, but not since then (and I've long since gotten rid of the VHS, so haven't owned it in years). One of my favorite performances from Walter Matthau and one of my favorite Lemmon/Matthau collaboration films! Can't wait to watch it again!

I placed an order with SAE the other day. Should get it by Monday, if not Saturday. Got:

Anastasia
April Love
From the Terrace
The Gang's All Here
The Keys of the Kingdom
Garden of Evil
Kiss of Death

Will place a second order tomorrow (probably). Haven't finalized what I'll order, but it'll likely be something like:

The Detective
Hush…Hush, Sweet Charlotte
The St. Valentine's Day Massacre
Tony Rome / Lady in Cement
Two for the Road
The Vanishing

Depending on how the budget's looking at the end of the month, I might place a third order on the last day:

The Boston Strangler
How to Steal a Million
Inferno
The Panic in Needle Park
Peyton Place
Pretty Poison

Wow, Twilight Time got Pat Boone to do the audio commentary on "State Fair"! They sure could have used him on the "Journey to the Center of the Earth" commentary. Unfortunately, Diane Baker had so little screen time that she had hardly anything informative to contribute. She also tended to draw the other commentators away from the marvels unfolding on the screen to address some unrelated tidbit. Sigh. What a missed opportunity. At least I have Pat Boone's autograph on my first TT release of "Journey to the Center of the Earth."

Actually, the Pat Boone commentary was recorded for the 2005 DVD release that was bundled with the original film. All the supplements on Twilight Time's release are carried over from there.

I'm going to be ordering Anastasia, How to Steal a Million, Two for the Road, and 9 to 5 for sure tomorrow while this sale's still going on. I'm also looking forward to owning State Fair and the Tom Sawyer/Huckleberry Finn double feature. In the case of the Tom and Huck double feature, the Sherman brothers commentaries in particular excite me since I'm a huge fan of their work. I'm assuming these were from a prior release like the Pat Boone State Fair commentary since Robert Sherman passed some time ago.

Hmmm....I have every home video version of "Journey to the Center of the Earth" including Beta and VHS, laserdisc, DVD on up to TT's two releases, and I have never seen (heard or found) a commentary by Pat Boone. Can you provide specifics?

I meant the Pat Boone commentary on State Fair is a DVD carryover which would explain why there'd be one from him on Fair and not for Journey to the Center of the Earth.

For somebody who adores Pickup on South Street and enjoyed House of Bamboo, how does this compare? Very good, or is it bizarre in a Naked Kiss way?

Cheers.
