Question My Head Hurts...

There are waaay too many releases of these movies. I can't make head or tail of it. This is what I have:

Are the movie discs in the new digibooks the same? Aside from the Editor's Cut of SM3, and the ASM bonus disc, are the new ones an upgrade? Or will I lose anything from the ones I have?

The new set has Spider-Man 1, Spider-Man 3 and Amazing Spider-Man 1 Mastered in 4K so those are better than your original discs.
There is also quite a few Special Features that are being ported from the DVDs that never made it into the Blu-rays before

As far Spider-Man 2 it would be the same that you have and I believe the original Amazing Spider-Man 2 release already contained the Mi4K version so that be no change for you as well

I believe the only thing you lose if you get rid of your original blu-rays is some TV spots

You might want to keep the Amazing Spider-Man series since the new Digibook doesn't have much new extras it's the same old stuff but The Spider Man Trilogy has more extras from the DVDs and and a better transfer for the first one and third one that's it but I don't know it's up to you if you are a die hard fan of the Spider Man Trilogy pick up the new set if you ain't stick with the old set.

One SINGLE line of dialogue could have fixed it...
"The Green Goblin killed him"
But no, we got forced drama.

And trust me, I have many, many issues with Amazing Spider-Man.
I never said they were perfect. Far from it. But they were better made, directed and the characters (except Connors) were almost damn near perfect from the comics.

Raimi wanted a Superman movie and never was able to. Superman was his childhood idol, not Spider-Man.
Hell, look at all the homages towards Superman in Spider-Man 1 alone!
Ted, his brother, called him out on his sh*t years ago and set the record straight.
It was Superman painted on his wall, not Spider-Man.

Well, I'm committed now (or should be committed ). I sold the code so I had to open 'er up. I may never know which versions I've got - as I don't have any MI4Ks to check them against and there appears to be no agreement here. The code buyer confirmed getting the 3.1/Editor's Cut, so that's cool for code people. According to the labels I got the correct movies/discs. A nice little package.

Now I've got to return the copy Target.com sent (arrived today) - after telling me that no Target store within 100 miles would carry it. The store copy I picked up looked better (cover). I wonder if this'll sell out and if I should keep the 2nd copy to sell and recoup some of my replacement cost? Naw.

No. Amazing's digibook has everything including the 3 store exclusive bonus disks included in the set. They are now on disk 3.

I redeemed the codes for both spider sets
Amazing 1 and 2
Spider 1, 2, 2.1, editors cut it did NOT include the theatrical

*
My replacement sets, for some reason each came with two code sheets!
I figured since my nephew love Spider-Man, I'd redeem them for him.

I agree with that Webb's Spider-Man felt more like the Spider-Man i read in the comics so I think he understood the character better.
But Raimi is a good storyteller and did create solid entries

Thank you!
Raimi made decent superhero movies, Webb made Spider-Man movies!

Since I am going to purchase a 4K display in the coming weeks I am going to hold off on this BD set in hopes of a UHD set. I have the older discs, but I don't mind waiting.

So I'm a little confused on what's included. Basically I just want to know if Spiderman 1 and Spiderman 2.1 are the remastered in 4K versions.
I own the original trilogy from 2007 so is this worth the upgrade? I don't care for The Amazing Spiderman films or the Editor's Cut of Spiderman 3

Only Spider-Man 1 and Spider-Man 3 are Mastered in 4K in the new set.
If you want Spiderman 2 mastered in 4k, you have to get a time machine or pay lots of $$$
The 2007 set doesn't have Special Features for Spider-man 1 and 2 so if you care about that, this set has all of the Special Features ever made for those two films (except some trivia game or still galleries)

Thanks!

That's weird that they don't sell the 4K Spiderman 2 anymore.

Something sinister this way comes is the only one I know off the top of my head.
I believe Hardback listed them 2 or 3 pages back.
Or in the Amazing DigiBook thread.
