I called about this as I pre-ordered the Sunday before it was released when the offer first showed in their weekly ad online. I was told the points will post after 2 weeks from the time it was delivered (mine was delayed, so I didn't get it until the 17th). I'm assuming this is because you have 2 weeks to return the item and they don't want people using the certificates and then returning the movie for a full refund.

If I don't have the points by the end of the month, I will definitely be calling them again.

This is a good little primer on the subject: http://referencehometheater.com/2014...ll-vs-limited/ and even though it references 8-bit HD levels e.g. 0-255 Full or 16-235 Limited this also works exactly the same way with 10-bit 4K HDR, with 0-1023 being the Full/PC range and 64-940 being the Limited range. The latter is what's being mastered to disc, Lionsgate's early screw-ups aside.
Thx for explaining, cheers

Thanks for the update. I preordered mine with ship to store on release date and picked it up that day. Not impressed with BB right now.

I had to call to get it added, she was quick and the 250 points showed up in about 10 minutes.

No experience with your brand but worth noting an LCD pumping 1,000 nits in a totally dark room without great local dimming will have weak ass blacks and such a lot of the time. If HDMI full isn't your problem then might be that. Could try a bias light, but not sure how effective that would be with your brand or whatevs.

I then thru in the 1st remaster in my BDP-S3200 that is also on the Hisense TV and the blacks were way better, no not near as good as the blacks are on my Pioneer Elite plasma but much better than they were on the 4K disc, but I did get my "popping PQ". I tried tweaking the PQ settings on my TV and Philips BDP and nothing helped so I threw the remastered disc in my Philips BDP and I got my "popping PQ" and much better blacks. Yeah the Hisense will never have my Pioneer Elite plasma blacks but still I cannot figure out why the 4K disc has these issues when the regular 1080p disc was fine. Help me out here guys!

Thanks to Geoff D and everyone else who has assisted me via PMs with my picture quality issues with The Fifth Element
, a whole lot of tweaking got me a fairly good picture but after all that I decided that my new Hisense 4K TV or my Philips 4K player had to either flat out suck or be defective. I woke up this morning and bypassed my morning coffee and went straight to getting everything together for my 4K TV which I decided to return. Then I had a quick idea....> as I said earlier my regular Sony 1080p player on my new Hisense 4K TV looked really nice, it was just the Philips 4K player and The Fifth Element which had the PQ issues. Anyhow the idea I had was to switch HDMI ports on the Sony and Philips players and see if that changed anything and IT DID AS IN 100% BETTER! All of the sudden The Fifth Element looks AWESOME! The #1 HDMI port on my new Hisense was defective! I drove to Best Buy and exchange the Hisense out for another one and now its all good! The Fifth Element LOOKS TOTALLY SPECTACULAR IN 4K! Oh, BTW the blacks are still not plasma quality but way, way, way better than they were on that defective HDMI port and they are good enough for me.

Thanks again everybody! Geez.......and I was even thinking about dropping 4K and sticking to 1080p, damn id have saved a lot of money if I just kept my 4K TV ~5 more days because my 15 day return window would have been gone. I don't think I have ever purchased a defective TV before this one! Yeah at least my 15 day return window is back but now I am thinking about buying an extended warranty thru Best Buy. I normally would never do such a thing! I have ~15 days to think about it.

Oh, BTW when digging thru my stuff the other day I had forgotten about the extra bias backlight I purchased on eBay a long time back, I just needed a bulb for the Cinemaquest bias backlight on my plasma but someone had a nice deal on a used Cinemaquest backlight with like ~3 bulbs @ eBay so I bought that. I installed that extra bias backlight on my Hisense 4K TV so that is just some incing on the cake.

This is the 6th (!) time I've bought this film on home video:

- DVD
- SuperBit DVD
- SuperBit Deluxe DVD
- Remastered Blu-ray
- 'Mastered in 4K' Blu-ray
- 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray

I hope this is the last one for a while, but damn, do I love this movie.

Who has the rights in the UK and France now?
This feels like it needs a negative scan.
Gaumont and Besson didn't leave each other on the best of terms, but I wonder what they would do with the title.

Is that the Dutch Blu-ray where the aspect ratio switches and there's a counter on screen?

Here are a few examples of my Philips 4K player on the bad HDMI port then the good one. I took a few pictures to bring into Best Buy to make the exchange easier.
