This release is amazing, as for as a blu-ray presentation goes. The movie not so much. It definitely has a lot of pop.

If you liked the action and cheese of the first two, you'll like this one. I put this one better than the second and not quite as good as the first. Anyone expecting anything more than a movie of the same feel as the others will be disappointed.

Wrong. I was totally entertained by the first two movies and I expected the same for the third. Plus, the trailer looked badass for this 3rd installment.

Boy, was I wrong. What a steaming pile of crap. Everything was atrocious. And the YETIS? Don't even get me started. I almost walked out of the theater after the YETI came out.

Wrong. (see I can do it too)

The Yetis were no worse than the small monkey things in the second. Your expectations must have been too high (from the badass trailer). You expected something more. That's why you were disappointed.

I don't think anyones expectations were high, especially after seeing the tomato meter rating. No matter how you slice it, this movie sucked. I really wanted to like it, but to no avail. The whole movie was one big cliche.

Uh...err....sorry about that.

It's a shame she wasn't in part III.

Forget arguments about realism, the replacement of Rachel and the puzzling issue of their annoying son, the story was crap. Jet Li's character is so one dimensional its not even funny. At least the villain in The Mummy and The Mummy Returns had motivations (somewhat). In 'Tomb of the Dragon Emperor' the writers didn't even try. That, and the Brenden Frasier one liners are way past old and lame.

I agree that it will look and sound better, but it won't make the movie itself any better.

No ammount of video or audio enhancement can in any way make...

1. The acting better
2. The plot better
3. The pacing better
4. The overall story better

It was just bad.

I'm a Mummy fan but this movie is 3 out of 5 stars. 3.5, tops, depending on your taste.

You are a smart guy. You're lucky too. I also pre-ordered Mummy 3. Originally pre-ordered it at $27. I was awake during Cyber Monday and checked amazon constantly. I also saw it priced at $15.99. I immediately called amazon at like 5 something am. I got them to reduce the price to $15.99. I wasn't going to wait around to see if amazon reduced my price from $27 to $15.99. The sale was only available for like an hour.

After reading all the bad posts, my expectations will certainly be lowered tremendously. But at $15.99, I'm hoping I won't be too disappointed with Mummy 3. I'm really a fan of Fraser and his quirky sense of humour.

"Bad-ass" in the sense of Mummy 1 and 2, which were pretty damn entertaining. That's where I set my expectations for this last movie, and it sucked donkey. Is it too much to expect a movie on par with the previous two? NO. Especially since they weren't high expectations to begin with.

It takes talent to make a movie this bad.
