Dang, probably kills any hope of movie cash then.
I've supported Eli in theaters when possible, but am torn if I want to spend to see a remake. Would've been perfect for me since I skipped the first blu and could've had a free ticket to rectify that.

Is Death Hunt going OOP? Looks like it is, I was looking through my wishlist and came across that one.

Looks like it is. While Amazon does show it for sale, it says 1 to 3 weeks for shipping and the only other copy is a third party seller with scalper pricing. I don't see it available on Best Buy, B & N, Walmart, Target, or Bullmoose and the only copy I found on eBay was for $300.

It would figure, since it's a title I put off buying forever.

Default Stripes: 35th Anniversary Edition

Does anyone know the status of "Stripes: 35th Anniversary Edition"? Did it ever get released or was it scrapped for the theatrical and extended cuts?

So I just purchased a used copy of My Bloody Valentine for $30 off of ebay a few moments ago. Paramount can now announce this one as a wal-mart dump bin re-release. This has been the one OOP title that has eluded me for years. Hopefully it works like a charm when it arrives and it remains in solid condition during shipping. (The Photos made it look good).

Between this the Short Circuit Double feature and the Dreamworks Holiday/Spooky Story compilations a few weeks back, the only OOP titles I'm still needing that I can think of are Wayne's World 2 and Death Wish. With Death Wish getting a re-release next month that only leaves the low priority WW2 release and I'll be completely caught up on all my OOP titles. Best of all I never paid much of a premium on any of them. MBV ranks as the most spent, and even that price isn't any different than the average Code Red title.

My Bloody Valentine (1981) was an enjoyable little slasher, IMO. I don't recall seeing any other horror movies set in mines (caves, sure, but not mines). I'm sure there are some horror buffs here that can cite some though

MBV was long OOP before Paramount did the Warner Bros deal, so the rights to that probably are not even with Paramount anymore. I don't think it will be part of these waves of re-issues at all, that and Ticks are on some other level of rights ****ery. Not to say someone else won't ever release them, but they have both been gone for a while and aren't really related to the coming re-issues except they both sported a Paramount logo at some point in time.

That's why I'm so happy that I recently found a nice copy of MBV in a pawn shop for $4 -- one my best-ever bargain finds.

For years I've been hoping to find a deal like this. I know enough copies are out there and I've seen this exact story several times over the last few years but alas it just wasn't meant to be for me. I'm actually ok with what I paid though as I did have the foresight to pick up..

-Dawn of the Dead
-Martyrs
-Slither (Original release)
-House Uk Collection
-The TMNT Pizza Box Set
-Hellraiser Deader (along with Bloodline, Hellseeker, and Hellworld)
-Dead Alive
-The Exorcist Anthology
-Friday the 13th Collection
-Halloween Collection

All upon release for retail pricing or lower, prior to going out of print and so I avoided a great deal of costs and hunting by already having those all these years. My price point for MBV has always been under $34 shipped and so it took a while but I eventually found a copy that met that criteria.

So, are you still looking for those on your list? I often see some of those at a local shop here. I bought House UK Collection on eBay a while back for only a slight premium. I've definitely seen the original Dawn of the Dead for $10.97 and similar for Bloodline.

I appreciate the offer but no, those are other out of print titles that I have already picked up back when when they were regular retail releases. If you can get a copy of Dawn of the Dead 1978 (not the remake) for that price however it'd probably be worth your time to do so considering that one will likely get you a fairly decent price on ebay.

I wish I never sold my copy of My Bloody Valentine couple years ago when I needed the money. I miss watching that movie. As with the original Dawn of the Dead and Wild at Heart. Grrrrrr. Lol
