Does anyone know how this works with any of the theater loyalty programs(Regal Crown Club, Stubs, etc.)? For instance, would you get credits for ticket purchases using the movie pass card? I assume it probably depends on the chain, but just curious if anyone has experience with this. Thanks.

Mostly just Regal's in my area and a handful of independent theaters. The IMAX in the next town is now in the supported list and it doesn't have 3D or IMAX shows blocked out, even though the Regal 3D shows are. I'm tempted to try it but 3D/IMAX is only officially allowed in a few markets and at a much higher subscription cost, assuming that is still offered.
Supposedly, you can just call MoviePass to check-in at theaters that are either not in the list or don't have schedules. I've never had to do this so I'm not sure what all that entails. |

This article says you can't use it on a movie you've already seen, so eventually you will run out of movies to use it on and end up wasting your money (since they only come out with so many worth going to). http://www.marketwatch.com/story/is-...ems-2017-08-15

That's a good way of seeing this. If the movie's really good, I won't mind paying to see it again and this can be used to see movies that you wouldn't even consider seeing otherwise.

That is what these types of deals should be used for. It takes off a lot of the risk that comes when you do have to pay for a movie you haven't seen yet, take the risk since it isn't really hitting your wallet that hard.

I hate to say this but I think AMC has a fair point - it's a matter of when Moviepass goes bankrupt, not if.
Moviepass may pay out for a few months at first, but when it's bankruptcy time AMC is just another creditor who won't get paid. Moviepass is valuing subscriber data at prices higher than facebook or google. It's also kind of an fu to people who pay rack rate at the box office. |

All the theaters in my area are AMC, but I will probably go ahead and jump on this. Worst case scenario, AMC does find a way to block it, and at that point I cancel my membership. |

When I signed up and clicked on the final submission screen, it just went back to the first page of the signup process. No confirmation screen, and I didn't get any email confirmation or anything either. Am I signed up? Has anyone else had this happen, or are you getting something so you know it went through?

I think I'd rather see less movies, but have the ease of buying my reserved seat online in advance with Fandango, have my tickee sent to my phone and bypass all the lines, and see it on a premium screen. Quality over quantity.

The best I can tell from being on the site and looking at the FAQ’s, there’s no list for participating theaters. Can someone guide me to a list so I can see if this is something feasible for me? Or can someone with a subscription look up theaters for zip codes 29526 and 30066 (the two areas I see movies in because
I travel...) and let me know which theaters in those areas participate. Thanks. |

Been in the reddit for Movie pass, and it seems like a lot of people are pretty mis-informed on Movie pass.
The photo verification is no longer required per current subscribers before the price change. The watching the same movie again is no longer a restriction, with Moviepass' Twitter confirming they are getting rid of this restriction. https://twitter.com/MoviePass/status/897439572526862337 AMC was actually part of the pilot testing when they first came out. In fact they used my market and I was a part of the pilot program when it was like $15 a month. They continue using my market here in Denver to test newer features, which brings me to my next point. I don't even need the debit card to watch movies here in Denver. Tickets are e-tickets here. I simply go to the app, go to the theater of my choosing (All AMC's in the area show up) select and movie, and pick a seat. I then go to the ticket booth and have them scan my barcode and I'm in! |
