DLP decisions

I posted this in another forum, but since there seems to be alot of samsung dlp guys posting here I figured it'd try this one. I have a 56in bulp dlp samsung I purchased Jan of 07 and I love it!. I recently got a memorex blu-ray player and I'm using the hdmi connection. I love the picture quality I'm getting with it, however I don't seem to be getting the depth in the picture like you commonly see on the setups at best buy. I know those setups are using the sony lcd screens and different hardware, but could those screens really be adding THAT much to the picture that there's a very noticeable difference in my tv? Any info you blu-ray samsung guys could give would be greatly appreciated.
