I quite liked Another Way to Die and Licence to Kill. Don't get the hate for them. Hell, Licence to Kill is probably among my favorites, but I am a big 80's guy. Die Another Day is probably the only other one I dislike after Man with the Golden Gun. Those two are the only ones I am tempted to skip (but don't).

My favorite is probably View to a Kill or World is Not Enough, and I also love Diamonds are Forever.

I believe I posted this before, but we ranked the Bond themes last year. In the end it's just another list but I think it's interesting how differently we viewed some of the tracks.

Don't get the hate for Writing's on the Wall, depending on my mood it may even slip into my Top 10 for the series. It just got put into the wrong movie.

Sam Smith's track just lays there. There's no drama. There's no melody. It's the Bond track equivalent of room temperature vanilla pudding left on the counter overnight. Sam Smith had no business singing a Bond title track -- he was given the gig because of potential sales to people who don't watch Bond movies.

To me, Writing's on the Wall is a good song in and of itself - it's the choice of singer that was the problem...

Agree to disagree, I guess. The way you describe it is how I feel about a few other Bond songs, though. Just not this one (although I'll admit WotW took some time to grow on me).

The music is definitely seaworthy.

I concur. The person singing is not that great. It's not that bad when he/she is singing regularly but it gets horrible when the high notes are involved. I don't understand how someone could enjoy that raucous.

Oh, please. You don't think Duran Duran and a-ha were selected for the exact same reason?

Really great selections!

Die Another Day is a nice club track but as a Bond theme? Ehhh...

The Man With the Golden Gun works as a parody of a Bond theme.

I prefer the song Spectre that Radiohead originally made for the film.

I think he said he'd return if Craig does. Just hope they give him better material to work with.

I liked the neat and tidy, end of a chapter conclusion to Spectre, so whatever they do next with Craig is gonna screw that up!

Daniel Craig was on Steven Colbert's Late Show (CBS) last week, and said he was returning as Bond for one more movie.

Pity. I was hoping someone new and who is keeping with Ian Fleming's character would be announced.
