This might be Lynch's finest hour.

I am already getting antsy for this.

If they can pull a quality set together before the holidays, I'd pick it up.

Can't wait for the official announcement to see what they are offering up. I hope Mark Frost pulled through with his comment and On the Air is included in the special features.

Either way, I'm all up on this like Richard Horne on Charlotte.

She also said she's working on elements for delivery to Showtime. That can only be more content for a release since the show is off the air now. Should be good, and YES this was a glorious time on TV. Lynch trolled us all.

Sweet! I hope there's a making of featurette of some kind like there was on the Inland Empire DVD. I know Lynch doesn't go for things like commentary and all, but I'd love some interviews with cast and crew or something.

I hope the blu-ray looks better than the broadcast. I enjoyed this show but the quality was piss poor. I like David Lynch but the choice to shoot this digitally is a shame.

Might be my favorite season of TV ever. Another rewatch is needed to confirm.

More anxious to get my hands on this than any upcoming release.

Can't wait. I wonder if the first box set will come back in print or if they will do something new. It would be weird if The Return and the Criterion FWWM were the only things still in print in the US.

Yes, I was thinking about that too. After he teased us with On the Air being included, they must follow through with that!

A lot of it feels quite close to the digital aesthetic in Inland Empire, except shot on much better cameras. I get the feeling Lynch digs the crudeness of it, though.

All the really stylised parts look incredible, however. Anything in the White Lodge, the convenience store scenes, the mauve room, the Red Room too obviously. Like paintings.

I've always thought it was strange that an artist who comes from a painting background would prefer digital video over 35mm film.

I'm sure he loves the convenience and economics of it.

But it's like a painter who chooses to paint with watercolors instead of using acrylic or oil paint.

...you would think a painter of all people would truly appreciate the aesthetic superiority of 35mm.

True, but when you look at a lot of his paintings you can see how digital would be so much easier as a platform to replicate that.

I mean, like this...
