Chastain. The fact that the Muschietti's are friends and have already worked with her makes it a no-brainer. Now if scheduling problems arise then Adams will be the back-up or they could also get Isla Fisher -- hell, she already looks like Adams but Adams carries a bit more prestige.

In other news, Bill Skarsgard confirmed that the 1600s flashback from the script (in which Pennywise spares a woman and the rest of her family, in exchange for the life of her baby) was actually filmed. Wonder if it'll be reincorporated into the director's cut or whether they'll save it for Chapter Two.

You know, a lot of people (both people who liked it and didn't like it) have been saying the film wasn't scary, and on one hand, I don't understand that in the slightest, but on the other, I totally get it. I've only seen the movie once so far (I know, I know.. I feel physical pain over this), and the only time I was "scared" when watching it was during the opening scene with Georgie's death, and that's because I was a little nervous as to how far and how graphic they were going to go. But either way, I still knew what was about to happen.

That's the thing about this movie: I've read the novel several times. I know the miniseries verbatim. I KNOW how this movie will play out and that none of the Losers' Club is truly at risk here. So while I jumped a few times and felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand up a couple of times at the creepy atmosphere and images I was seeing before me, I was never truly scared, I suppose.. but not because it wasn't scary, but because I knew what was going to happen.

So for all those people in the same paperboat as me (with knowing the story too well beforehand), whether you liked it or didn't like it, know that it probably was scarier than you think, you just didn't feel that the stakes were as high as they are in other horror films/remakes/whatever you want to call this.
