Speaking of Paramount... I'm hoping that PHOBIA eventually gets legally cleared for a release. The SD version on Vudu is very poor quality.

I wonder what the legal snag preventing its release could be? Music?

Good question. I bought Woman in the Moon direct from Kino. And, as I also own two others in Metropolis and Die Nibelungen, I don't know if I'm on board with the box set. It matters with the price, and I paid a pretty decent penny for the three that I own. But I would like the corrected Woman in the Moon disc. It seems fair...

It really is. This is the first Kino title I've ever bought and they did a really good job on it. I'm sure I'll be getting more from them in the future

Got my September order today.
Unfortunately ended up getting Son of Paleface dvd instead of the bluray.
Hopefully it is a smooth process to get the correct one.

Otherwise, very happy with everything. They use great boxes and everything was nice and sturdy.

Looking forward to the next sale.

I know Bill at Code Red said the rights owner for OPEN SEASON wants a ridiculous amount of money for it. Would love to see it get its proper due, too.

Speaking of Code Red, the Olsens have owned the Gary Conway film THE FARMER for some time. They have given different reasons for not releasing it...is there any chance Kino could get involved with helping them release this?

Mister Lime - Have all the films acquired from ABC been announced. I'd love to see TVM Inside the Third Reich (2 Emmys, 5 more nominations) finally get a release. Thanks or all you do!

Still stoked for the Fritz Lang box. I was pulling out all my Lang silents from my shelf to sell in preparation for the box and just realized that it's a shame they couldn't have put Joe May's diptych The Indian Tomb on the box as well (screenplay by Lang and then-wife Thea von Harbou and later remade by Lang himself as one of his last films). It would have made a nice additional bonus along with Plague of Florence.

Mister Lime, any chance of maybe releasing a BD of The Indian Tomb down the road? The DVD I have is from Image.

YES, I've been waiting on The Last Laugh for years. I had a class in college that was entirely Weimer Germany films (and Sunrise as it was directly related), and The Last Laugh was easily my second favorite after Sunrise. I never got around to getting the DVD, largely because Blu-Ray was just hitting at the time, but I've always had it on my mental checklist.

My copy of Love With The Proper Stranger is en route to me. Should have it tomorrow.

I can't thank Kino enough for rescuing this film from the Black hole that Paramount consigned it to after it's nothing special Laserdisc release in the early 90's.

I can't believe it's taken 20 years since the introduction of the DVD format to finally see this film again.

No, we've still got dozens of titles to announce. Inside the Third Reich is not one of them.
