To be fair, the only Python who isn't "difficult to work with" is Palin.

I remember listening to Cleese's commentary/interviews back when the DVD first came out and found him very insightful.

It appears to be another great restoration from Arrow Video.

I saw John Cleese and Eric Idle last year when they were doing their comedy tour. Both were cool as hell, seemed like super nice guys. Both spent an hour signing Monty Python albums, books, blu-rays, etc. and talked to fans about all kinds of stuff. Their show was also amazing. Haven't laughed that hard in a long time. They actually did an encore of the encore for fans who stuck around to chat/get shit signed.

They have moved the release of A Fish Called Wanda (US) to October 10... Was expecting it to ship this week, but I got a "Will email when shipping" note on my pre-order.

I already got a shipping notice from AmazonUK on Saturday. It usually takes 7-9 days to show up at my door in the states. Not sure why they're pushing back the U.S. release date since the Arrow special edition is obviously finished.

WTF! I ordered from US (in Australia and have Region A player) with Bates Motel S5, to save money.
Could have ordered from UK...

So now, on Amazon US, it's saying Oct 3. Go figure

Will this have reversible art?

That MGM/UA logo takes me back to the first time I saw this on an HBO recording.

So, does 5.1 DTS-HD MA soundtracks? mean the score or the whole movie soundtrack is available in 5.1 as well?:

My copy is on the way.

"Soundtrack" is just the term used. I'm positive they just mean it has 2 audio tracks.

I thought so too. That's great news for those of us who also want an updated soundtrack. The more choices the better.

Otherwise it'd be called isolated score after all.

Every single Arrow Video release has reversible art. Not a single one does not, they did it right out of the gate.

I don't get it. Why the hold up (release date was Sep 19 for a long time).
The Brits gave got their release and the US loses out, again.

Yeppers. Aside from the ones with special packaging like steelbooks, digipacks, etc. where it isn't possible to have reversible art, but that goes without saying (and yet I'm here saying it).

THANK YOU ARROW!

I used to watch this film all the time on VHS when I was like 3 or 4. But soon after the tape just disappeared. When I was about 9 we bought a movie pack that contained Wanda, and I was just bored by it. Now that I'm 15, looking back at some of the scenes just makes me piss myself laughing. I should get this edition soon. I ended up finding the tape, complete with the MGM/UA logo at the start, but the bloody tape chewed! I will keep this anyway. If I get this, it'll be the 4th incarnation of this film my family will have. The 1998 Aussie VHS, the 2000 Aussie DVD, and Disc 1 of the 2-disc set as part of the previously mentioned movie pack.

Also as an interesting note to mention. The 2000 Non-Anamorphic Australian DVD mysteriously replaces the MGM logo with the 90's United Artists logo! I don't know why that happened, that's for sure!

I like these last minute Arrow delays when they help avoid a massive Tuesday bill the wife would kick me out of the house for. With Wonder Woman, Starship Troopers and Close Encounters all dropping on UHD today it was nice to see Wanda move to a quieter week!

I think it's some kind of concession to overall British resentment over Arrow's US expansion plans. Or maybe it's just a scaling back of their original plans. We were supposed to have an Arrow US webstore by now IIRC, and now these bizarre delays here for titles that are widely available even in retail stores in the UK prove that there's been a change in direction. Don't Torture A Duckling, which has already been pushed back twice, has been widely available on UK store shelves for at least a week. 3 out of 4 titles gets delayed in the US now and it's getting really old
