Has anyone tried a reverse of this as a way to bypass the unskippable ads? Selecting episode 1-4 on disc 2?

Good thinking, that might actually work.

I just tried it and it works! To skip the unskippable ads select episodes 1-4 on Disc 2 then swap discs. Am I the Blu-ray.com poster of the year for discovering this? Do I win something?

You just might be, that is if my workaround for the Xbox owners doesn't work lol. Then it'll be me.

I just noticed that they would charge EUR 23.76 ($28.09) for shipping to Germany...expensive.
Thanks!

Comes to over £41 though delivered. Far too expensive for just 8 episodes (as much as I love the show and the packaging).

Hopefully we will get a release over here.
Yes, just saw that too. And you can count on customs to add a fee on top of that, so closer to £50... I'll wait for a UK release.

Nothing but black screen after inserting the disc on Xbox One, so nothing can be selected.

On a positive note, I did finally watch a few episodes using the PS4 and holy crap, the PQ and AQ are 5/5! I can't stand using the PS4 to watch blu_rays, but it was worth it. Some of the best detail and inkiest blacks I've seen on the format. Gave me a new appreciation for the series.

Roughly £35 including postage to UK:

They've always been customs friendly with me so far, and advertise as such. Mine's in transit at the moment.

A member stated he was able to watch disc 1 and he has an Xbox so I think the workaround might work for him.

Very clever. And yes, you both win something, a Gold Star!

I'm getting my copy this weekend, but does this REALLY work??? Can other people confirm this? Or does this ONLY work for X-Box users?

That's a good idea, thanks. I'll try it after work and report back the results.

Ordered early Wed morning, and got it just now. Target rules.

This set is a thing of beauty. To think a streaming service would put this much love into a physical release, and we can't even get lent slipcovers for 3D movies anymore.

This is an excellent find but there is a much easier way to go around this and you don't deal with the forced trailers again. All you have to do is hit "Play Season" and the player will now know where you left off so when you put on Disc 1 again it will prompt you "Resume season playback?" and you hit Enter. If only you decide to hit on "Episodes" and select a random episode the player will not recognize this as "season playback" and therefore you will see the trailers all the time.

The trick here is to select "Play Season" to bypass the forced trailers the next time you want to go back to Disc 1.

You still have to sit through them that first time though. Using my workaround you could watch all 8 eps without ever having to watch those trailers.
