Those issues always seem to be resolved later on (at least the next day) from my experience, and if there still is an error, you can report that to MP and pay out of pocket, submit your receipt and they may pay you back (I've heard they usually do that reimbursement, but I've never done it personally). When Movie Pass isn't supporting a theater, I don't find it listed in the app at all. BTW, I see a theater now has 70mm tickets for Murder on the Orient Express on sale, any idea if those will be supported by MP or instead not allowed as a "premium format"? For what it's worth, while I did see 70mm surcharges on Hateful Eight, Kong: Skull Island, and Dunkirk, at least right now, Fandango has the same price for that as regular showings. |

You need a smartphone to check in to theaters that don't support etickets.
You could use a tablet to get an eticket and pick it up at the theater. Check in requires you be 100 yards of the theater. The card is a prepaid Mastercard but it can't be added to Apple Pay. You use the card to pay for the ticket and you can earn rewards from the theater. Check in loads the amount the theater reports to Movie Pass onto the card. It is possible that price changes aren't reported. Price goes down, you don't worry about the loss. Price goes up, you have to pay first, then submit for reimbursement. Eticket either loads a QR code under the E-ticket section of the app and/or provides a confirmation number to pick up the ticket. You do not need the card and you can use this service immediately upon sign up. There is no need to worry about pricing as the ticket is already paid for. One movie a day: 12am to 11:59pm and just standard showings. |

I feel like people bring up e-ticketing too often, and it's not great especially when new people are asking questions. They see "e-ticketing" and assume it's like Fandango. According to MP's site, the only chains that support e-ticketing are Goodrich Quality Theaters, Studio Movie Grill, and MJR Theatres. If you're not near one of those (not many are), you need to wait for your card.
