Not me haha. I've used it 54 times since July 22nd and have bought zero concessions.

Depends where I go. I've used it a couple times at Cinemark and got a pop or popcorn. Cinemark's concessions are reasonably priced. They now have Tuesday deals on concessions along with $4.75 tickets. But my gripe with my Cinemark is the quality of the theater. Smaller screens, older chairs. I've gone to Regal twice and got popcorn and pop one time and regretted it because a small popcorn and medium Coke cost me $17. I did just buy a Regal Groupon ($10 for $20) though

I am. But only on cinemark discount tuesday when food items are 2-3$. Also the occasional fountain drink when I have a $2 off cinemode coupon (bringing large drinks down to $2),

Really loving how quick points accumulate too. In only four visits, I can now redeem my points for a Flatliners t-shirt

Why buy concessions if you're going to the theater just to sleep?

Seriously though, if I was destitute and living out of my car, I'd just buy two movie passes and buy two tickets of blade runner a day to catch up on sleep.

Net cost: 66 cents a night

No kidding. Plus 10 points per purchase, even if it's just a $2 hotdog.

Default Question

I am new to MoviePass

It says here that: https://moviepass.zendesk.com/hc/en-...rve-my-ticket-

Quote:
Our e-ticketing feature (available at Goodrich Quality Theaters, B&B Theatres, Studio Movie Grill, MJR Theaters, & participating AMC Theaters in the Boston and Denver area) allows you to reserve your ticket in our app. At theaters that do not support e-ticketing, your app check-in does not reserve your ticket/seat. Instead, it loads funds to your MoviePass, so that you can purchase your ticket.
When I go in it loads enough cash for that ticket cost onto my card and then I can purchase a ticket with those funds.. correct? This is not a reimbursement plan or anything.

It works for 1 Regular movie showing a day or every 24hrs?

Every day so it doesn't matter if the showings are 24 hours apart or not. Once you check into a showtime it will load the required funds onto the card for the showing.

Yes, that is correct. It loads funds onto the card for you to use.

This price of $9.95 a month is really tempting.

It's amazing. It really works.

I've watched about 8 movies the first month.

I don't know how long the money of the billionaire investors will last, but as long as they are willing to buy my movie tickets, I'm going to be grateful. Thanks! I'm going to movies twice a week now, instead of once or twice a month.

I've already done 4, will probably go see Blade Runner and Foreigner next weekend. Not sure about the weekend after that, might skip and wait for JLA to come out.

Today I saw The Nightmare before Christmas at my local Regal theater. The employee asked me how I was liking Movie Pass as he was swiping my card. He said it was getting popular. My town is a small college town with about 56K population. He also said they were getting more information about Movie Pass from Regal Corporate.

Time for moviepass to send out blank credit cards, or ones with decoy puppies on them.

The only thing I would change about mine so far is I would've wanted it to get here sooner. Good luck!

AMC and Regal want to push back against this?

Not a problem, I have some fantastic smaller chains that offer a better experience. Studio Movie Grill actually invested money in Movie Pass so the executives there understand how beneficial this is.

OK. So I won't get Stubs or Crown Club funpoints guickly but I'll be racking up Galaxy points. Of course, that's assuming AMC and Regal can find a legal way to refuse a prepaid MasterCard.

So all of us in this thread that have been using it are making it up? Sign up yourself, what do you have to lose? I'm sure if they go under we can all pull out before it hurts us.

Yeah, you're all in cahoots with the people who made up the Stranger Things blu-ray.
