One of the few titles not available in Dolby Vision that I would still pre-order

The only real weak link is Luke Hemsworth, but he's not in it a lot.

It does use the J.J. Abrams Puzzle Box trope, so that is one knock against it.

Indeed. This all stems from a logo on the supposed cover of the Indian version, of all things.

Dolby Vision has seemingly proven not to be as easy to implement as the studios might have thought. LG pulled their DV update on their 4k player so it stands to reason it's not 100% there yet. I'm all for it but I want it to be done properly.

While Dolby Vision would be nice I am completely happy we are getting this show on 4K with HDR at all.

Hopefully this will kickoff a number of TV on UHD titles (with other HBO titles not far behind).

It appears that HBO was an early adopter of TV on BD (and I believe The Sopranos was the first TV title on BD).
I noticed that The Sopranos S6 Part1 came out so early at the beginning of Blu-Ray, that the digipak still used DVD logo plastic, but came in a special “Blu-Ray” slipbox with a magnetic latch to open and close it.

Will definitely be ducking out after work to get the LE Tin Set Day One.

Money may actually be a little tight coming up. Does anyone think this 4K set might go down like $5-10 during Black Friday season?

I would love to get the first season of 'True Detective' in 4K/HDR.

It's the same cover from the India site.

Someone will need to test it on a Dolby Vision setup to confirm. I'm assuming there will be at least one person with a proper setup who will get it early.

And the Korean and Hong Kong ones. Still no Tin edition with Dolby Vision logos.

Well, if other regions are getting it and not the U.S. (that would be bizarre), then I know I will be importing.

Your "over-inflated price" is the cheapest it's currently available in the UK
