UHD already has it in it's specs - that should tell you something - that the industry is starting the process and opening up the capability for it. It will require the capacity, bandwidth and compression and economic roadblocks to get figured out first. Once they do, it'll be here in force. By that time, they will also have figured out the other things concerning sets / details etc.

To bury your head in the sand yet again is silly.

3D has been a fad that's always been tied to poor technologies. That's why it comes and goes - mainly because it sucks. Some day, it won't suck, and will be here to stay, for good.. HFR is the same.
But anyway we like different thing and as I said, I hope the HFR is something you enable on the tv or on the disc so people can choose how they wanna see it.

I have enjoyed HFR like I have 3D. We all know how a lot of people feel about 3D though.

I found this film to be quite the demo disc. HFR certainly will take a lot of getting used to for many people. If it ever becomes mainstream then they will learn to live with it. I'm sure the HFR haters must feel like the people who first saw moving pictures back in the day. Most of us hate change but if it's coming then we just learn to live with it.

I've played games most of my life and they are always higher framerates than movies. But there is something about HFR on film that makes it look a little too realistic. It looks more like you are seeing something through a window rather than a work of fiction on the big screen.

24fps maintains that movie magic, your mind recognises that it isn't quite real where as HFR makes stuff look like you were actually there. I'm not sure yet if that is the immersion I want from my films.

Maybe when Avatar 2 hits in 4K120fps3D we might be on to something.

Nothing to do with changes, many of as coming from 480p loved when we got 1080p, same with 4K, but not just for the resolution but for new color standard etc, same with HDR, love it either it is HDR10 or DV, but HFR, as it is now, is just a shame, so it as nothing to do with new changes, it is how the HFR is as now.

I can argue with about real and not real with HFR, and like it is now it just like looking at a live stage, that is not a movie and when you see extras and costumes etc looks so fake because of the HFR then it's not a movie anymore, for the HFR to more standard they need to invest in better special effects.

But like I said, I hope that HFR is something we as people can choose on our tv or disc, instead of for just forcing it down our throats who don't like it.

It is a big difference of a game and a movie with HFR, always have higher HFR on games

For me I don't feel like I'm being there it feels weird and yea and i see people say that it took them 5-10mins to get used to I did not when watching Billy Flynn.

Rocky, one thing you have to realize is that what you see as a flaw, others do not see it that way. You keep repeating the same thing over and over again. That's what makes it trolling. When you don't like something, it's ok to say so. But repeating it over and over again, that's what gets people uptight.

We're all different, so of course we'll all have different opinions. Just don't keep repeating the same thing every day. It get very tiresome real fast.

You keep going against the grain, so to speak. What? Did I say grain.

In 3D it's like a new experience; so in this case here the replay value is approximately 70% ... IMO

Movie should've been called 'Billy Lynn's Unnecessarily Long and Boring Halftime Walk.'

I found it a good war exposure myself; an humble reality, a conflict of morals.

It has its moments, and good performances too. But yeah, it never really coalesces into anything as profound as it seems to think it is.

I think of it as more of an experiment in film tech than a movie, though I do feel there are some really potent scenes (halftime show, big shootout, cafeteria, kristen stewart-billy lynn @ home).

Cause it's the Internet, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion, which includes not liking this crappy movie.

Which he has stated now numerous times. Let people who actualy bring more to the table than just "The movie sucked" share their thoughts and information

The difference is that I am posting on grain in a thread specifically called "Grain Wars in 4K", not in a thread dedicated to a specific title in 4K. We get it, you dont like 3D and you dont like HFR, move on.

Posting calibration and WB in blade runner thread, that is only for the movie, not calibration or LG OLED tv.

Rocky, this isn't the thread for posting things like we do now, get it.
Again talking crap. You obviously don't know the difference between a thread dedicated to a movie and a thread strictly related to a video technology.
If you already expressed how you don't like Billy Lynn, why bother telling us that you already forgotten about a certain scene? That's pointless.
If you dislikw hfr go post in the appropriate thread
