I'm not question that it's "Dead Man", but I'm surprised nobody even mentioned "American Beauty". I think that would make three picture clues in a row for Best Picture winners if it were that.

Mena Suvari was a lot of things in that movie but pre-pubescent was most definitely not one of them.

Agreed. Gerry is wonderful. Would love to get Gerry, Elephant, Last Days, and Paranoid Park all releases on blu. Would make a great box set.

Even if we assume Angela was younger than 17 I think the worst you can call Lester is a wannabe rapist.

I'm 99% sure that they aren't releasing American Beauty. That being said, it's one hell of a film. Excellent performances across the board, great directing by Mendes, the screenplay is fantastic, and Thomas Newman brought his A game with the score. Well, I guess he pretty much always does, so what's the surprise.

And Spacey was great, for sure. But Benning is -- I don't even know if I have word to describe her performance. Extraordinary would probably best describe it.

Has anyone ever asked or heard anything that Criterion could make their flash sale longer than just 24 hours?
That's pretty much the reason I don't take part in their sales. It'd be nice if they could at least do a week.
