Stranger Things: Season 1 (2016) (Target Exclusive)

At the Target store I work at we still have massive amounts of this in our stockroom. It has shockingly been a really slow mover. I can almost guarantee with the amount of inventory stores are showing that this will be part of the black friday sale!! I can put money on it!!

Yeah my store is filled all the way across and all the way to the back on the top shelve of the new release end cap at my store

Maybe a door buster if sales are sluggish, which would not be a good situation for Netflix releasing Season 2 on physical media... or a potential, though slight, for a UHD Blu-ray version of any of series.

We obviously don't have this here in Canada as Target flopped hard, however I was down to the Niagara Falls/Buffalo area this weekend to pick up some parcels from my US mailbox, and I snagged this from the local Target, as well. They still had plenty.

My only complaint is that they didn't make this package so that the inner VHS-mockup thingy was simply a holder for a regular-sized blu-ray case. It makes a nice display piece for my media room, however I needed to transfer the discs to a spare 4-disc elite case for which I now need to either make or find some custom artwork.

Well, that and that this release should've been a UHD/BD combo, not a BD/DVD.

That's good to hear! Always prefer watching something on Blu over streaming it whenever I can.

All 5 stores around me still have 150+ copies, but one store must have just gotten another shipment because they have 421 listed in stock

I’m hopping for a Garth Books Target exclusive type situation and we see these on clearance after the holidays.

It's already only $24.99; how much lower do people want it?

If Target's shipping it to stores in those quantities, their sales figure so far must be pretty good. As long as it's still a solid seller, I really don't see Target discounting it further so soon after release.

Plus, this is only being sold at Target, so having large amount of copies makes sense

I certainly do hope for a Season 2 on BluRay (and in a matching packaging). Also, this time there is bonus material (the 7 episodes of Beyond Stranger Things) so I hope they include them, too.

With how well this is selling, I would be surprised if S2 doesn't get a blu-ray.
