It depends on where you live I guess but I picked mine up from a store called Sanity, they usually have their pre-orders available for pickup 1 or 2 days before the official release date and that was the case here, I ordered it 2 days ago and picked it up this morning even though it's still 2 days away from release.

I agree with the observation about faces. They either remove skin marks (especially of Dolores) during color grading, or the focus puller did not do a good job.

Just had the tin delivered and watched the first few mins, its Night & Day between the streaming I had seen and this 4k, it looks AMAZING! Can't wait to watch the entire season. I watched this in DV, and its looks pretty, there is quite a bit of grain and it doesn't take anything out. This is a demo worthy disc, just for the details that can now be picked up, the color tones are amazing as well. I saw this show from the HBO Go app on Apple TV, and while watching it, it looked pretty decent, this is so much better.

This doesn't have an iTunes code.

I agree, the streaming version is garbage compared to the 4K disk. But how would you compare it to other 4K releases?

Just checked Best Best Buy’s website for availability. It says not available in stores and not available for pickup. I checked cars 3 just for reference as that will be released tomorrow. That title is showing pre-order for in store pick up. I know Best Buy updates their stock availability early morning on release date. Has it been confirmed this will be in stores? Sorry if this has been answered, didn’t see it posted by anyone.

This release only contains UV copies. NO iTunes.

Rats. The back cover mentions compatibility with iOS devices. I guess they assume you’re going watch with 3rd party apps like VUDU.

Yeah. This is a Warner release, not an HBO release that contains UV, iTunes, Google, etc.

4K UHD film releases are now pretty much the norm when a film is coming to the home entertainment market these days. However, Westworld Season 1 is the first time ever a tv show has been released on this new high definition platform, and Warner Bros even went the extra mile and added Dolby Vision to its remastering of the series. To put it mildly, the show looks amazing. The 2160p 1.78:1 aspect ratio of Westworld is a truly demo worth picture. The Westworld park literally jumps off the television and you feel like you are truly immersed in the show. Details are sharp and crisp, while blacks are spot on, and the HDR color spectrum with the combination of Dolby Vision is so lifelike you really feel like your television is a window to another world.
