Just because the Red Wings won 6-0, all of a sudden, their goaltender is one of the best ? Dude, look at The Red Wings Defense. If They didn't have Lidstrom, Rafalski, Stewart, Chelios etc.. They would be in trouble. I ay, they need to pick up a B+ goalie or A+ if they can . ATM, they have two C Goalies.

What are you talking about? PolskAltima didn't say anything about any Red Wing goaltender being "the best", and I don't think anyone else did either. I've posted several times that the only reason they are winning is a combination of their offense scoring in bunches and their defense holding opponents to very few shots. It's obvious they either need to pick up a stud goaltender or Osgood needs to pull his head out of his own ass!

yea the goalie situation still bugs me...

only problem... they cant pick up another goalie w/o trading/waiving another player...
they are so close to the cap, they didnt call up Jimmy Howard when Osgood had flu symptoms/was sick these past 2 or so games...

as much as i like Conklin, hes not a starter...
well neither is Osgood... at least he hasent proven it yet... hes an awesome back-up and thrives in that role, but cant cut it as a starter...

Dude, you need to chill . You are the one in the 1st place who said : What about them Sharks ? Red Wings with a huge 6-0 Win. You think just because Conklin got a shotout, their goaltender situation is resolved. They can get a goaltender via trade. So you stop nagging me with biased partisan crap. They have an awesome team but they could improve their goalie situation.

Conklin is the reason the Pens had a good season last year. It was him who turned their season around. The wings are better off with Conky over Osgood IMO. If the Wings need a goaltender, it should be to play backup for Conky and drop Osgood.

Conklin got them rolling and into the playoffs when Fleury was sucking and then on the IR... am i the only one here who watches the highlights?

If it wasn't for Conklin's regular season play, the Pens missed the playoffs last year possibly. Conky is the man.

Season and Playoffs = 2 different things.


Yes, Conklin did a lot for them in the regular season but it was Fleury who brought them to the Stanley Cup Finals.

The Wings have good D, good offense but need a good goalie. They could get one via trade. I see possibly Craig Anderson, Steve Mason and Jaroslav Halak . Those 3 guys don't cost a lot and the Wings wouldnt have to give up a lot. So Conklin and one of the 3 mentionned above. And for Ozzie, i love the guy but he should retire.

i never mentioned the Wings goalie... never said a word about a shut-out...
i was saying the Sharks got blown out... regardless if it was because of the offense, defense, goalie...

those guys dont cost alot... they arent proven... i wouldnt want them on the Wings...
plus the Wings have a goalie in the minors for the future... Jimmy Howard...

only reason you even mention those 3 goalies is because they have been doing well lately... check back on those 3 later in the season and tell me how they do, then they could be considered...

the Wings dont have cap space... i already mentioned this...
hence who do you trade away/waive for a different goalie...

past 3 games... wings have scored 16 goals... nice to have that high powered offense...
5 goals against in the past span... that being skewed cuz 4 goals were in one game...
